Who we are

The Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) is a charity committed to improving health at work. We believe that being in ‘good’ work should be a measurable health outcome. It is the professional and educational body for occupational medicine in the UK and seeks to ensure the highest standards in the practice of occupational medicine.

At the FOM, we believe everyone of working age has the right to benefit from healthy and rewarding work and the right to access competent occupational medical advice as part of comprehensive occupational health services. Enabling people to remain in work, with appropriate support - and return to work speedily after illness is key to our goals.

This is an exciting period for FOM. We are moving to purpose-built premises in Greenwich in the summer and have an ambitious plan to grow our impact and business over the next three years.
