Who we are

Thousands of young people have lost hope. Growing up in the most deprived areas in the country, they see no future for themselves. Many hide low self-esteem with aggression, drugs, alcohol or involvement in crime. All too often this is all that society expects of them. At Fairbridge we believe that every young person has something of value inside them. Our challenge is to help them find it. We offer young people a fresh start, someone to believe in them and a chance to prove themselves. We combine long-term personal support with practical learning experiences to tackle ingrained behaviour and attitudes and enable young people to develop personal, social and life skills. Every programme is tailored to personal needs and lasts for as long as an individual needs support; be that three weeks or three years.
