"Creating a better future for everyone through the arts"
As a place-based charity, Junction Arts creates work with people to improve well-being and inspire change. Our festivals, workshops and events offer the chance for people to be creative, learn new skills and build stronger communities.
We primarly work across Bolsover District, North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield, in 2019 we began a range of international projects taking our community arts approach to Brazil and The Netherlands.
Junction Arts began in South Normanton in 1976, since then we have embedded ourselves within the communities we work with and have worked with generations of families. Participation is key to all of our work and we hold two annual family festivals each year; Tapton Lock Festival and Bolsover Lantern Parade. We host the Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference bi-annually.
