Lancaster District CVS - supporting you to support your communities 

At Lancaster District CVS, we have a strong history of supporting the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector (VCFSE) and ensuring these organisations are visible, valued and heard. We understand the importance of supporting disadvantaged communities and we know how hard the sector works to improve their health and wellbeing.

With over 45 years of experience, we have a deep understanding of the needs of communities and offer opportunities for organisations to develop relationships, access peer support and improve connectivity through forums and partnerships.  We also provide a range of free and chargeable services which support our members to recruit volunteers, develop their organisations and manage their finances.

These services include:

• Connecting communities and helping organisations find the right services to support their communities.

• Our volunteer centre where we promote volunteer roles, recruit and train volunteers, and support the development of volunteer policies and strategies.

• Providing organisational development support on fundraising, governance, policies & procedures, DBS checks, monitoring and evaluation, business planning, organisational health checks, media & marketing, and setting up new community groups.

• Affordable paid-for financial services such as payroll, book-keeping and independent examinations.
