Who we are
Rahab Project UK is a small charity which is a part of Sisters Adoratrices, a global congregation of Sisters who have been caring for women for over 165 years that works towards seeing the lives of at-risk and vulnerable women affected by prostitution and trafficking transformed. We support those who are sexually exploited with unconditional acceptance, compassion and dignity to rebuild their lives and achieve their own identity and freedom. We provide learning and development opportunities for women to engage in and offer a supportive and non-judgemental environment as they explore ways and takes steps forward in self-determining their futures.
The Sisters’ mission is to provide the compassionate care that helps women flourish, freely and unconditionally.
The women are at the heart of the Sisters’ mission; their commitment is not one of merely providing services, but of walking alongside and accompanying women with love and unconditional acceptance. Women are welcomed with tenderness and kindness, without judgement or expectation. And in this safe and confidential space, a significant journey of personal growth unfolds as women rebuild confidence in themselves and trust in others. The Sisters also defend women’s rights, advocating for a more just society in which women are treated with humanity, dignity and respect, have equality of opportunity.
Our culture and values
Our values of humanity, compassion, dignity and respect are inspired by the Christian faith-based mission of the Sisters.
These are enriched and shared by many people of other faiths and none who work with and support us.
