About us
Who we are
South Kent Mind was originally registered as a charity called Folkestone & District Mind in May 1988. Our charity is affiliated to National Mind but is run independently and has its own constitution and board of Trustees.
In November 2019, it was resolved by the members of the charity to change the name to South Kent Mind to better reflect the area of operation.
South Kent Mind's role is to ensure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people with mental health challenges in South Kent.
Our objective is to promote the preservation and the safeguarding of mental health and the relief of persons suffering from mental health disorders.
