Who we are
The Catrail Charity is a small Scottish charity which makes donations to UK-registered charities in the fields of international development, biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, human rights and homelessness issues.
The Charity currently supports 6 international development charities, and 6 other charities.
The Charity's activities also include the evaluation of charities in the Charity's fields of interest, and statutory administrative and reporting duties.
The Charity currently has six directors, each of whom have experience in one or more of the Charity's fields of interest. The directors are based in South-Eastern, Eastern and Central England, and Central Scotland, and make up the Charity's membership.
The Charity is funded from the proceeds of a sustainably managed (FSC and Scottish FGS-registered and SEPA-compliant) Scottish woodlands operations business.
The Charity is registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), as Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) number SC044906; and with HMRC.
The Charity's registered office is in Glasgow, UK.
