About us
Who we are
The Green Team aims to provide transformational outdoor experiences that connect children and young people to nature, others and themselves.
The Green Team delivers high impact and life-changing opportunities through active outdoor learning, environmental volunteering and therapeutic connection to nature. We provide opportunities for children and young people to take part in a range of programmes, discovering and exploring the countryside, learning about the natural environment and their place in it, developing new skills and making improvements for the benefit of wildlife and people.
All programmes involve practical conservation work such as tree planting or path improvements and a range of environmental activities to support learning about the natural environment. The focus of projects is environmental volunteering but other outcomes include physical activity, team work and the development of practical and social skills. 75% of our work is with young people who are experiencing multiple deprivation, disadvantage, lack of opportunity and basic support mechanisms to thrive.
