Who we are
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is the UK’s leading professional body for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK.
Our membership includes over 9,000 individual therapists (we have over 10,000 members but that includes students, trainees, retired and non-clinical) and more than 70 training and accrediting organisations. Our individual members work privately, in public health or third sector organisations offering a wide variety of psychotherapeutic approaches.
