Who we are

Sight Support West of England exists to reduce the impact of sight loss, supporting blind and partially sighted people to lead independent lives and to secure equal access to services, across Bristol, South Glos, Bath & N-E Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon.

Our Sight Loss Advisor team provide support to help people adjust to living with sight loss - providing advice and tools to enable people to live their lives the way they want to. Our support includes:

  • Information, advice and guidance on living with sight loss, remaining independent and getting the most from life
  • Demonstration and training on a range of useful resources to help with daily living
  • Advice and training in how to use smartphones, tablets and other devices to minimise the impact of sight loss
  • Social activities, sports clubs and opportunities to meet others living with sight loss

Sight Support West of England works in close partnership with our partner charity, Wiltshire Sight, with whom we share a back-office team.
