As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your role will be to support the Regional Manager so that they can manage more projects, along with supporting the Regional Manager with expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteers for the region.

You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
The role will require attendance at our Community Meals projects in Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Bradford, with occasional evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

About The Hygiene Bank
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In 2022, The Hygiene Bank published groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 3.1 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

Job Description
The Fundraising Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation and wider team, with a responsibility to help fulfil the charity’s fundraising plans. The role will support the charity’s Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement to help raise and grow revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, with a particular focus on maximising funds from trusts, foundations and grant-giving organisations, as we implement our new fundraising strategy.
Responsibilities
· Research and build relationships with new and existing grant-making organisations.
· Write and submit applications to grant-making organisations.
· Keep the pipeline of support and the fundraising database updated.
· Assist with evaluation and monitoring reports and ensure these are of high quality and are submitted on time.
· Support and provide guidance to local projects on the development and submission of grant applications, keeping record of all prospects and monitoring the reporting and performance of local projects based on funding requirements.
· Support and assist the Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement with the implementation of the Fundraising strategy and other team activities.

Purpose of role
The Director of Development and Communications plays a pivotal leadership role in steering the organization's direction, requiring a unique blend of strategic communication skills and advanced fundraising expertise. Managing a $3 million budget primarily sourced from progressive foundations and a modest individual donor program, this role oversees a multifaceted communications and fundraising strategy to enhance the organization's visibility and narrative across diverse audiences, including donors, activists, and human rights advocates.
Leading a team, the Director of Development and Communications navigates challenges and opportunities while shaping the organization's future revenue landscape amidst ongoing strategic initiatives and exploration of alternative income sources. The ideal candidate will implement and oversee communications plans that advance Women’s Link Worldwide’s objectives and ensure effective delivery of its goals against the organization’s strategy.
The Director of Development and Communications will play a pivotal role in managing existing foundation relationships. Additionally, they will oversee and enhance a substantial one-time windful gift, leveraging the funding to expand Women's Link Worldwide's impact across East Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. This donation not only strengthens WLW's financial support but also has the potential to bolster feminist leadership and address systemic fundraising inequalities by challenging oppressive structures. Primary responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
· Work with the Executive Director to bring strategic assessment, planning, institutional positioning, and fundraising issues forward to the Board of Directors.
· Advance the Executive Director’s and Leadership Team’s understanding of large-scale field level trends, movements, and shifts so that they may be reflected in strategy and direction.

As Policy & Engagement Officer, you will work with the Hope for the Future team to:

As Local Mobilisation Officer, you will support the delivery of our ambitious programme to mobilise food banks in the Trussell network to campaign for change. As Senior Programme Officer you will build and access networks that support education settings to connect with nature through the programme, and build skills for engaging and influencing nature on their estate. The Senior Programme Officer will also manage a programme officer to enable a broad range of schools and education settings to participate in the programme. As a regional team you will work to establish widespread, meaningful and sustained engagement with the programme.
Reporting to the Nature Park Senior Programme and Partnerships Manager, you will map schools in the London region to identify priority areas, and connect with senior school leaders across the region to engage them with the programme. You will develop partnerships and networks at a regional level with local authorities, businesses, and organisations in the education and charity sectors to provide additional support for schools and help sustain them on their Nature Park journey. Part 1: Role Purpose:
We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.
The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.
The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.
Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. At WithYou we are looking for a Media and Communications Lead to join our organisation. This is a full time, permanent position based from home. This role will join our Marketing and Communications directorate, an innovative team of people who are committed to raising the profile of WithYou and connecting with our stakeholders in new ways.
Reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will take the lead in running the reactive press office function as well as planning and delivering a regular calendar of national proactive media moments, securing positive national coverage in print, broadcast and digital channels. You will also be responsible for evaluating the results and measuring the impact of the media coverage you secure.
In this role you will be responsible for developing a wide range of high- quality media materials including press releases, opinion pieces, blogs and statements.
You will provide co-ordinated localised media and general communications support to our Regional Heads of Marketing and Communications. This includes taking a proactive approach to generating story ideas in local areas, coordinating joint press activities and attending press opportunities in England and Scotland.
You will also contribute to other content development such as collecting stories, producing film, photo and social media and website posts, working to grow WithYou’s reputation and influence, supporting our income generation activities.
This is a full time, permanent position based from home. The salary for this role is £37,000 - £42,000 per annum.
REQUIRED SKILLS
We are looking for candidates with excellent creative writing skills and experience in creating content for a wide range of audiences, making complex articles interesting and accessible to all. You will have an excellent news sense and the ability to generate a hook for a story, with proven ability in securing media coverage. Strong organisational skills and being able to plan ahead are key to this role, along with experience of working to tight deadlines.

- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience of leading media and PR campaigns.
- Experience of working in media/communications, including events, social media and resource development
- Experience of securing media coverage.
- Experience in briefing journalists and preparing spokespeople for media interviews
- Exceptional communications skills and the ability to engage people across a large diverse organisation.
- Ability to make stories simpler and more interesting.
- Exceptional ability to communicate through writing and talking.
- Proven ability to grow the reach and impact of social media.
- Experience of managing the creation of multimedia materials - film, photography etc.
