Place of work: Our central office (Bristol) with some hybrid working optional
About FareShare South West
FareShare South West is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, and share it with over 400 charities, schools and community hubs across the south west, joining the dots between food waste and hunger and transforming an environmental problem into social good.
Purpose of role
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising need and strategy has developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. Trusts and Grants make up a significant percentage of FSSW’s annual fundraised income.
The Trusts and Grants Officer (TO) will be responsible for managing our portfolio of small grants (up to £15k) alongside supporting larger grant applications where appropriate. This involves researching available funding opportunities, maintaining a prospect list and applying to relevant opportunities. The TO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) to create compelling fundraising applications for both core funding and specific projects. They will be responsible for the stewardship of their funders, ensuring that they meet reporting guidelines, share impact data appropriately and keep funders updated of any project changes.

Part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our regional managers are responsible for the delivery of our programmes in that area and for building sustainable growth of MyBnk in their patch and sometimes, in the surrounding areas.
In new areas, this is a hybrid role responsible for delivering growth of MyBnk and delivering our programmes until we are ready to recruit additional delivery staff.
In terms of the delivery aspect of the role - we are really proud of the quality of trainers we hire at MyBnk; we have a good mix of people including former primary and secondary teachers and youth workers. You will be joining an excellent team who know their stuff so there will be ample opportunity for you to learn and for you to feedback on where our programmes might improve. You do not need to be an already existing expert on financial education; we will teach you everything you need to know.
Alongside delivering, you will be responsible for growing our presence, in every sense, in the area you work. This could range greatly from engaging with funders to representing us at local policy events. You will be someone that already knows the area quite well and can hit the ground running in establishing MyBnk across the area. In time, you will manage a growing team.
We want they very best people to join us who are excited by all the opportunities that a growing charity can offer you and who are willing to share their expertise with us to help MyBnk reach even more young people and adults through everything we do.

Background
Women's Link Worldwide (WLW) was founded on the principles of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, and Global South leadership, our organization is deeply rooted in the mission of advancing feminist movements across Latin America and the Caribbean, East Africa, and Europe. With a robust network comprising over 60 national partners and 40 regional and global coalitions, we strive to dismantle oppressive systems and rebalance power dynamics. Our approach centers on transforming the feminist strategic litigation landscape, breaking down legal barriers, and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities within the legal sphere.
At the heart of our strategy lies an intersectional lens, guiding our legal interventions to secure the rights of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. Our core focus areas include gender and reproductive justice, particularly advocating for safe and dignified access to abortion and combating gender-based violence. Recognizing the interconnectedness of climate and racial justice with sexual and reproductive rights, we integrate these perspectives into our advocacy efforts. Central to our ethos is the adoption of reproductive justice, pioneered by Black women since the 1990s, which combines reproductive rights with broader social justice imperatives through an intersectional framework.
