About The Hygiene Bank
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In 2022, The Hygiene Bank published groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 3.1 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

Job Description
The Fundraising Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation and wider team, with a responsibility to help fulfil the charity’s fundraising plans. The role will support the charity’s Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement to help raise and grow revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, with a particular focus on maximising funds from trusts, foundations and grant-giving organisations, as we implement our new fundraising strategy.
Responsibilities
· Research and build relationships with new and existing grant-making organisations.
· Write and submit applications to grant-making organisations.
· Keep the pipeline of support and the fundraising database updated.
· Assist with evaluation and monitoring reports and ensure these are of high quality and are submitted on time.
· Support and provide guidance to local projects on the development and submission of grant applications, keeping record of all prospects and monitoring the reporting and performance of local projects based on funding requirements.
· Support and assist the Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement with the implementation of the Fundraising strategy and other team activities.
· Assist in stewarding the support of funders and donors through regular communications updates.
· Have an understanding of charity law, in particular with regard to the Data Protection Act and GDPR and the recording and storage of donor data. Ensure all data is managed within the law and effectively.
· Assist with the creation of fundraising materials, such as newsletters, brochures, Annual Report and other communications.
· Support the team on creative concepts, tactics and messaging for fundraising and communications campaigns.

Fundraising Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy for an important charity.
Position: Fundraising Manager
Location: Remote with some travel required for in-person meetings and events
Hours: Part-time, 28 flexible hours per week

About the role:
The purpose of the Fundraising Manager’s role is to develop the role and fundraising strategy of the organisation. You will support the CEO with creating the role, strategy, systems, and activities of income generation for the organisation. You will lead in securing funds from trusts and foundations through grant applications and develop the individual giving campaign as well as leading the growth and future development of new income streams from individuals, corporate partnerships, and other sources. Within all of this, you will oversee the strategy to grow the Fund HER pot of funds that are growing to distribute to women candidates preparing for future elections.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work with the CEO throughout the contract to design the role of Fundraising Manager as we develop strategy, systems, and activities within the parameters of a 28-hour working week.
- Develop a fundraising and business development strategy, including individual giving, third sector and statutory bodies to move us towards greater sustainability and diversity of income streams.
- Develop a specific Fund HER strategy to build the pot of funds for us to distribute to women candidates preparing for future elections.
- Work with the CEO and wider team to organise any income generation events as articulated in the strategy.
- Achieve agreed grant income targets through writing successful grant applications and tenders.
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of funders and their criteria, through the ongoing research of potential trust and grant funders.

Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public. These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.
You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.

Purpose of role
The Director of Development and Communications plays a pivotal leadership role in steering the organization's direction, requiring a unique blend of strategic communication skills and advanced fundraising expertise. Managing a $3 million budget primarily sourced from progressive foundations and a modest individual donor program, this role oversees a multifaceted communications and fundraising strategy to enhance the organization's visibility and narrative across diverse audiences, including donors, activists, and human rights advocates.
Leading a team, the Director of Development and Communications navigates challenges and opportunities while shaping the organization's future revenue landscape amidst ongoing strategic initiatives and exploration of alternative income sources. The Director of Development and Communications will play a pivotal role in managing existing foundation relationships. Additionally, they will oversee and enhance a substantial one-time windful gift, leveraging the funding to expand Women's Link Worldwide's impact across East Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Primary responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
· Work with the Executive Director to bring strategic assessment, planning, institutional positioning, and fundraising issues forward to the Board of Directors.
· Advance the Executive Director’s and Leadership Team’s understanding of large-scale field level trends, movements, and shifts so that they may be reflected in strategy and direction.

As Policy & Engagement Officer, you will work with the Hope for the Future team to:
- Act as constituents’ main point of contact at HFTF, working with them to effectively engage their elected representatives by supporting them through the constituent journey (including offering tailored advice, letter writing, meeting preparation and coaching, facilitation and follow-up).
- Prepare and deliver HFTF’s core training, contributing to its ongoing development.
- Develop constituent and partner-facing resources aimed at maximising political impact.

Part 1: Role Purpose:
We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.
The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.
The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.
Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. This aspect of the role in particular demands a confident, ‘self-sufficient’ and motivated personality – who is excited by the opportunity and attendant career potential, as opposed to being overawed by the inevitable, multi-dimensional challenges.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%
- Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
- Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.
- Ensure regular information flow to Street Child communications and fundraising teams, inclusive of collection and drafting of case studies and photos.
- Supporting income-generation opportunities - potentially including supporting donor visits, in-country donor engagement and broad-based support to the group’s global programme-funding efforts for both Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Programme & MEAL Management – 35%
- Work in collaboration with national partner and cross-country implementation teams across Liberia and Sierra Leone to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities.
- Work alongside social, enterprise and education teams across both countries to support a joined-up approach to project implementation and MEAL, ensuring relevant data are collected with due care and utilised for project planning, reporting and learning.
- Provide strong support to EFECT programme staff and partners in Liberia & Sierra Leone in programme and MEAL department.
- Alongside colleagues provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.
- In liaison with Safeguarding Focal Points monitor safeguarding policies ensuring adequate implementation of policies and procedures, and support to close feedback loops with partners & project participants.

We seek a Global Technical Lead - Social Inclusion and Mainstreaming, with expertise in addressing inequalities, to join our team of social inclusion professionals. The post-holder will be responsible for providing technical support in the design of new projects, the provision of technical expertise to ongoing initiatives and will also play a role in shaping the strategic direction of Sightsavers' approach to disability inclusive decision-making, gender mainstreaming, and supporting our policy and global advocacy priorities.
The Global Technical Lead - will support the Deputy Technical Director, Social inclusion in delivering Sightsavers' work in inclusive decision-making. This will include working closely with country office staff to deliver our West Africa portfolio of projects addressing inclusive citizenship and political participation (CPP). Inclusive democracy is an area of growth for Sightsavers, and the post-holder will have a significant role in contributing to growing the portfolio.
Principal accountabilities will include:
- Providing Sightsavers staff and our partners, technical leadership, support and guidance in the area of disability inclusion across our thematic area of citizenship and political participation
- Identifying the capacity building needs of Sightsavers' staff and partners globally to deliver social inclusion programming
