Main Areas of Responsibility
Your role will include working with existing partners to solidify relationships, maximise partnerships for success of programmes and programme recruitment, identifying new opportunities and partners in line with the region’s needs, and managing regional communications.
You will work with the Harris Federation Teaching School Hubs to support management of a pipeline of high-potential recruits to the NIoT’s golden thread programmes, with a focus on Initial Teacher Education and including ECF, NPQs and Harris Federation CPD. You will work closely with the Teaching School Hub Directors and our ITT Lead Provider to ensure the development of relationships with local schools, trusts, ITT providers, local authorities, and wider community partners to ensure effective system level recruitment and engagement.
You will also hold close relationships with our Administration, Marketing, Communications and Events functions to ensure that we promote our programmes effectively.

You will need to be highly organised and solution orientated, helping us to run the complex process of participant recruitment whilst leading school and provider partnerships as efficiently as possible. We would like to hear from you if you have:

The Head of South England & Wales is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in South England & Wales. This role will lead our team of Network Leads and Area Managers as they empower every food bank to orientate their work towards ending the need for their services through the provision of bespoke support, enabling them to reduce the numbers of people requiring emergency food. This role will work with key national partners in South England and Wales to support our network to tackle the underlying drivers of poverty.
Role responsibilities
· Responsible, as a member of the organisation’s Senior Leadership Team for leading the delivery of the Trussell Trust strategy for ending the need for food banks in South England and Wales, working to embed the Changing Communities, Changing Minds and Changing Policy programmes across the network.
· Lead the Area team in South England and Wales to ensure the safe and effective operations of the food bank network, in partnership Trussell Trust’s People Directorate.
· Oversee the investment in and upskilling of our Area team to ensure they have the capacity, skills and resources required to deliver the five-year strategy and support to food banks.

Job Profile
The post is a pivotal role in CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East (AME) team supporting the Head of Region in the management and co-ordination of regional programming and organisational processes ensuring smooth administration, programme cycle management and communications. The post holder will be responsible for building effective working relationships with peers in the International Programme Group, as well as with colleagues across CAFOD such as funding, finance, and communications. They will act as the AME focal point for communications, supporting programme teams to develop materials for internal and external audiences.
CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East region currently has core programmes in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lebanon, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian territory and Israel, Sri Lanka and Syria.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of the post falls into the following broad functions:
- Support and co-ordination: supporting the Head of Region in the management and coordination of cross-regional work and relevant organisational processes.
- Communications: supporting the effective communication and flow of information across the regional team and with the rest of the organisation, including supporting programme teams to prepare communications materials.
- Programme & financial support: supporting the Head of Region in the management of cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, providing similar support to Programme Officers in the region when their workload requires.
- Administration: providing administrative support to the Head of Region and the regional team,
- Representation: of the region across CAFOD (and occasionally externally), as requested by the Head of Region.
Support and coordination:

Programme & financial support:
- Assist the Head of Region in the management of any cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, including correspondence with partners, approval and payment of grants, monitoring and reviewing reports, and maintaining paper and electronic project files.
- Support Programme Officers across the region in their work with partners, managing grants to partners and other aspects of programme support when programme workloads require.
Communications:
- Support the effective flow of information and communication within the regional team and across CAFOD.
- Act as a key point of contact for information on the region’s work and work collaboratively with programme staff and other teams to ensure that CAFOD’s work in the region is fully reflected in the organisational agenda (e.g. in campaigning, fundraising, communications or media work).
- Be an active source of internal communication, providing easy access to information by developing and maintaining a regional team SharePoint site, as well as other specific sites on the intranet, and engaging with the media team as appropriate.
Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Region, including correspondence, information systems, management of the team diary, preparation and follow-up of monthly team meetings, design and monitoring of filing systems, and maintenance of database and other systems to provide effective planning, communication and information flow,
- Accompany staff to ensure efficient and effective use of the Programme Cycle Management system, working in conjunction with other teams in CAFOD, to provide support when necessary (e.g. when access is disrupted),
- Be the first point of contact and/or provide essential administrative support to the regional teams.
- Organise and co-ordinate induction for new staff directly managed by the Head of Region
- Provide administrative support to other members of the team where required, including helping to organise programmes for overseas staff/partner visits, travel and accommodation needs, routine correspondence, and occasional cover for colleagues when absent,
- Coordinate the work of the region’s London-based volunteers and liaise with relevant staff on all volunteer-based issues.
Representation:
- Attend and represent the region in CAFOD networks, working groups and similar fora on behalf of the Head of Region, or other members of the team as required,
- In agreement with the Head of Region attend external meetings or events occasionally and identify and follow up on actions from these.
Focal Point Responsibilities
The Regional Support Officer is the AME regional focal point on Safe, Accountable, Dignified and Inclusive programming (SADI). This role is currently held by the other job-share, but this post-holder will deputise from time to time.
Your role is responsible for ensuring that the programming work you are accountable for is safe, accessible, dignified and inclusive, providing ongoing support and follow-up to our partners in this area.

As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your role will be to support the Regional Manager so that they can manage more projects, along with supporting the Regional Manager with expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteers for the region.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
The role will require attendance at our Community Meals projects in Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Bradford, with occasional evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

About the position
The Just Energy Transition and Natural Resources programme is focused on advancing human rights in business, in support toa fast and fair transition to clean energy and zero carbon economies. We seek to promote human rights across the renewable energy and batteries value chain. We are focused on mining for transition minerals, the installation of renewable energy where the fast transition is increasingly endangered by companies’ poor human rights record and policies, the lack of investor due diligence, and the absence of adequate regulation. A just transition will be one that, at minimum, ensures respect for human rights, fair negotiations, and shared prosperity with workers and communities.
The successful candidate will help lead strategic research and analysis on the renewable energy value chain from a corporate accountability perspective. This will include generating new insights and propositions for a more just energy transition through the analysis of structural causes of corporate abuse in these supply chains. In particular, the researcher will help us deepen our efforts to embed human rights, and protect and amplify the voices of human rights defenders, as an essential part of the response to the climate crisis, and a core component of the global work towards a just transition. As the Resource Centre expands its advocacy on improving the human rights policies and practices of companies in the renewable energy value chain, the senior researcher will play a key role in supporting:
- Research on community engagement, community equity models and other forms of benefit-sharing – focusing in particular on (i) unpacking cases and recommendations for ‘meaningful engagement’ with communities in the context of transition minerals mining projects, (ii) examples of Indigenous co-ownership and ownership of renewable energy and mining projects;

Responsibilities will include:

You will be responsible for driving up Alert’s visibility and profile and maintaining relationships with journalists, bringing with you good knowledge of the media landscape and excellent contacts.
You’ll have great interpersonal skills, able to work with people inside and outside the organisation across a range of geographies and backgrounds. You’ll be comfortable advising senior leadership within Alert and adept at identifying opportunities to raise Alert’s profile. You’ll be a good people manager, able to lead and motivate a team, and have experience of managing budgets.
Role duties and responsibilities:
Strategy and planning
- Develop and implement a three year communications strategy for Alert, in line with the organisational strategy, ensuring consultation and collaboration with Alert’s global and country teams
- Work closely with country teams to support the development of in-country communications strategies, ensuring regular co-ordination with country level communications colleagues
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for Alert’s communications work, developing robust frameworks for monitoring and reporting, and linking these to delivery of the communications strategy
Media relations
- Develop and deliver a media strategy, in line with Alert’s programme priorities, influencing and funding strategies;
- Lead on cultivating new and foster existing relations with key contacts in the media, building Alert’s credibility and ensuring effective working relationships with journalists;
- Lead on delivery of media strategy for discrete projects, developing plans, drafting key messages and press releases, identifying and working with target journalists and setting parameters for success.
- Lead on Alert’s response to breaking news stories and events, working with senior staff to develop appropriate responses
- Lead on crisis communications for Alert, drafting and holding the crisis communications protocol, representing the communications team on the Crisis Management Group, supporting and advising senior staff, and ensuring regular media training for relevant staff
- Proactively identify opportunities for coverage of Alert’s work in UK, European and international media, as well as by national/regional media in countries/regions where Alert works, and maximise profile opportunities for Alert’s spokespeople and experts;
- Manage and monitor the media email account and media phone, including out-of-hours media calls.
Content, branding and profile
- Ensure robust sign-off processes, comprehensive policies and quality systems to facilitate the work of programme and/or country teams and to ensure that all Alert’s communications are consistent with Alert’s brand, coherent in tone and messages, and high in quality;
- Lead a brand review for Alert in line with the new organisational strategy, including robust audience testing
- Oversee the maintenance and implementation of Alert’s brand guidelines, supporting the marketing and publications officer to ensure brand consistency across all of Alert’s work
- Work collaboratively with other organisations and deepen relationships with donors and funders to increase the profile and visibility of Alert and the peacebuilding sector.
Events and outreach
- Ensure excellent profiling and positioning of Alert’s brand, image and impact throughout Alert’s external communications and events;
- Oversee the design, planning and implementation of specific activities or events and campaigns using a variety of media, and ensure that opportunities for contributing to Alert’s funding, media and influencing strategies and building/maintaining excellent relations with potential supporters and contacts are optimised for each event;
- Ensure that all Alert outputs are disseminated successfully, using different media and messages to reach out to and engage different target audiences, and that dissemination strategies and budgets are set for each output.
Digital communications
- Support the Senior Digital Engagement Officer to develop an annual content plan that reflects the requirements of the strategy and delivers against its objectives
- Maintain understanding of and engagement with the latest digital trends and approaches, ensuring Alert is compliant with relevant regulations
- Oversee the development of a digital plan and ensure it contributes to Alert’s programme priorities, influencing and funding strategies;
- Ensure the furthering of Alert’s reach and profile through more effective and targeted use of the website, digital marketing and social media channels
Programmatic communications
- Support programme and country teams in strengthening their communications and outreach, and facilitate the development of their own communications and influencing strategies;
- Identify deficiencies and gaps in programmes’ communications capacity, skills and materials and make plans to remedy them as appropriate;
- Ensure that quality trainings are provided for programmes, country teams and partner organisations on relevant aspects of communications;
- Provide quality technical assistance and advice to programme and country teams for project planning, proposals and reporting, ensuring communications is incorporated into programme design and budgets.
Line management, budget management and organisational leadership
- Line manage the Communications team staff, and interns, volunteers and consultants where appropriate, setting clear and manageable workplans, ensuring structured, regular support and supervision, and tailored personal development plans;
- Ensure strong team co-ordination and support, with regular team meetings and awaydays
- Accompany, mentor and functionally supervise communications staff in programmes teams;
- Set, manage and monitor the Advocacy and Communications budget, ensuring robust oversight of spend and adherence to finance and procurement policies;
- Work closely with the Director of Policy, Advocacy and Communications to review and strengthen communications strategy and delivery, developing strong relationships with the Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer and the GPU Director to ensure advocacy and communications objectives are co-ordinated and complementary;
- Ensure efficient team-wide communications and knowledge management, and contribute to organisation-wide communications, knowledge management, events and discussions on related topics/projects;
- Deputise for the Director of Policy, Advocacy and Communications where appropriate.

Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced project manager to support the Head of United for Wildlife (UfW) as well as the Taskforce Managers in the management and implementation of key projects. With a proven ability to undertake the day-to-day monitoring of projects, activities and deliverables, you will be comfortable prioritising workloads and projects, working independently and be a confident communicator.
Working with the Head of UfW, the role holder will manage the day-to-day coordination of key and priority projects identified and agreed with the team. They will be based within the United for Wildlife team, and will work closely with other Royal Foundation teams, Kensington Palace, and external delivery partners.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Designing and maintaining the overarching programme delivery plan, ensuring it aligns and supports the delivery of the wider UfW Strategic Plan.
- Assisting the Head of UfW and the Taskforce Managers to identify and prioritise critical projects and project deliverables, and assist them with the management and implementation thereof, ensuring that key milestones are met on time.
- Engaging with the network of UfW Regional Chapters to assist in the delivery of their projects, ensuring they are on time and impactful.
- Designing an agile programme monitoring system to provide effective oversight of what is a complex and multi-location global programme.
- Coordinating activities on a weekly basis, to ensure delivery against the plan: overseeing and tracking key milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring that work remains in line with agreed budgets as relevant.
- Supporting senior management on resource allocation decisions, helping to ensure the team has the right skills and capacity at the right time.
- Identifying risks (both current and potential) and alerting relevant colleagues, also contributing to risk mitigation strategies.
- Supported by the Team Assistant/Project Officer, to ensure the maintenance of an accurate and up to date member database, and to support the Taskforce Managers in recruiting new members.
- Chairing key project update meetings, working with the Head of UfW to develop the agenda and then ensuring actions are captured and disseminated.
- Drafting regular written project updates for the Head of UfW, leadership team, and wider Foundation.
- Contributing to regular (oral) updates to members of the Senior Management Team and, less frequently, Trustees and The Prince of Wales.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Monitoring work being undertaken by external delivery partners to ensure that it remains aligned with agreed KPIs.
- Playing an active broader role in the programme team, working collaboratively to offer ideas on strategy and operational design and acting as a support and sounding board for other members of the team.
- Maintaining collaborative relationships with other Foundation programmes, ensuring plans align and complement each other to deliver against the Foundation’s wider strategy and roadmap.
Knowledge, experience, and personal qualities:
- Knowledge and experience of agile project management (essential)
