We are looking for a Head of Fundraising who can galvanise support for our work from funders and donors, develop a high-performing fundraising team, and support colleagues in developing fundable projects to restore habitats, engage people and bring wildlife back. Main Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Trust’s fundraising, overseeing development of prospect pipelines and growing income year on year from membership, major donors, individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, grants and charitable trusts, ensuring that the Trust achieves its restricted and unrestricted income targets
• Inspire funding support for the Trust’s work through relationship-based fundraising with major donors, corporates and grant-making bodies
• Enable delivery colleagues to secure funding for their work, supporting the development of fundable projects and high quality bids and securing continuation funding
• Stimulate growth in individual giving from members and non-members through the development and implementation of an ambitious plan incorporating supporter development, recruitment and retention.
• Ensure fundraising systems are working effectively and all activity is compliant with the Trust’s policies, fundraising guidelines from regulators, and all relevant legislation, including Data Protection and Health and Safety.
• Manage an integrated functional team across fundraising, contribute to the direction and development of the Trust as a member of the leadership team and undertake other duties in line with the role as requested
We want to see nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region. We have big plans between now and 2030 to see this happen.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager.
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.
You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing a portfolio of donors at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
You must have substantial experience working in a senior fundraising position with a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally, developing a fundraising team and growing a mixed fundraising portfolio. We are seeking to recruit an individual with purpose, passion and integrity to lead our Health team. In this role, you will use your skills, knowledge and experiences to help ensure movement and physical activity is embedded into health and care systems. You will work with partners across the system, in the leadership of GM Moving; our whole system approach across the city-region to reduce inactivity and grow a movement for active lives for everyone, with a specific intent to reduce physical activity and health inequalities.
Hours: 22 hours per week
Salary: NJC Points 49-53 Band H, £58,072 – £66,182 p.a. pro rata (salary to be at entry level except for exceptional circumstances)
Contract:1 year fixed term from July 2024 (maternity cover - we are open to flexible working arrangements/secondments).

We are now looking to diversify the strategy and have created this new role to take forward opportunities with companies. This new role will support the Director of Development in shaping and implementing the next phase of DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy and will lead on the development of major new corporate partnerships. They will also lead on the development and management of a small number of existing corporate relationships and sponsorship opportunities.
To support the development of this new element of our strategy we have been working with a leading corporate partnerships consultancy. They have been helping to develop our proposition for companies, developing our strategies for approaching individual company prospects, and will be available to support you in your role when you start in post.
