What you’ll be doing? 

The Minorities Community Gambling Link Worker will deliver an awareness-raising and personalised, holistic support programme for minority community groups in Lambeth experiencing gambling and gambling addiction-related harm, or those impacted by the gambling of a close family member. You will:

• Deliver an outreach programme by regularly attending community events, visiting local groups/ spaces and organisations frequented by minority community groups in Lambeth.

• Develop partnerships and deliver outreach support to primary and secondary care partners and services across Lambeth.

• Speak with minority community groups in Lambeth, either 1-2-1 or presenting to groups, to discuss the type of support available and promote the work and support of the Primary Care Gambling Service and Age UK Lambeth services. 

• Provide holistic support to patients referred to the Primary Care Gambling Service, helping to address housing, debt, bereavement, loneliness, mental health and other related social issues, that are both a symptom and/or a cause of their gambling.

• Meet clients on a one-to-one basis, making home visits where appropriate and allowing clients the time and space to discuss ‘what matters to me’.

MLC Partners are supporting a Central London based organisation within the Higher Education sector, to recruit a Finance Transformation Programme Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract. We are seeking an experienced Project Officer with a strong financial background to coordinate and deliver on various projects, contributing to the improvement and transformation of the Finance department.

This full-time position commences immediately, with hybrid working in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with senior management to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects
• To perform various coordinating tasks (scheduling and risk management), along with administrative duties, maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries

ADD is looking for a Head of Transformative Partnerships and Influencing to lead on nurturing and expanding relationships with institutional funders and partners so that more resources and opportunities can flow to disability justice movements in Africa and Asia.

This is a new role that will lead both our institutional fundraising and influencing work. This role will be responsible for raising significant funds from a range of institutional funders. About the team

Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This particular role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers in making effective business decisions.

About the role

Joining a finance team that collaborates and communicates effectively to help us deliver our mission and vision, making vital business decisions that are driven by expert knowledge and financial acumen will be key to your success here. As part of the role, you’ll engage regularly with our Assistant Directors and their leadership teams to ensure that financial results and key messages are shared and you’ll support stakeholders in engaging with fully available financial insight and reporting.  When it comes to our stakeholders, you’ll support and lead finance education and training to equip them with the skills required to execute their own financial responsibilities.

Among your many challenges will be the need to align financial plans to operational and strategic plans and make sure they’re clearly understood by Business Units. Seeing that each Unit is provided with a channel of effective, two-way communication with Finance will be important too. You’ll also work with colleagues in Project Governance and HR Business Partnering to support Directorate planning and business cases, as well as supporting and leading on the delivery of cross-team projects.

About you

Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have experience working in a Charity and have associated experience of managing restricted funds and fundraising.

• Strong relationship building skills at a senior level internally and externally and able to nurture partnerships and collaborative relationships with a range of organisations and stakeholders
• Ability to lead change projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful implementation

Desirable criteria

The Head of People and Organisational Development will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the people, strategies, policies, procedures and technologies that together form the organisation’s HR function.

The role:

• Driving the strategic development of human resources, organisational capabilities and culture.
• Developing, implementing and overseeing the people, strategy, and associated policies, procedures and processes that together form the HR function, which not only reflect industry best practice and run smoothly, but also foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Leading and developing a high-performing HR Team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Overseeing talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract, develop and retain people aligned with organisational needs and values. With a focus on supporting the Contact Centre to improve staff retention rates.
• Providing both day to day and strategic HR guidance and support to senior leadership, managers and employees, on a range of HR and organisational development matters.

• Monitoring and analysing HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and enhance organisational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be:

• A fully qualified HR professional.
• Experienced in managing staff.
• A fantastic communicator.
• Experienced in developing and implementing HR Strategies specifically related to learning and development.
