An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail Team. This role will require the successful candidate to be responsible for running the logistics required for a disperse network of charity shops, including the supply and distribution of stock; management of suppliers, landlords and associated stakeholders and ensuring that all compliance requirements are fulfilled.
The role will also support the delivery of the retail strategy to drive income growth and increase footfall and to support new business initiatives.
Role Requirements
Operational Management
- Manage the generation and distribution of stock, including organising the logistics for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops and customer requirements.
- Support the development and optimisation of the Redhill distribution hub.
- Manage key internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, landlords and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
- Research opportunities to reduce waste and disposal costs and introduce new/improved sources of recycling.
- Develop proposals to improve the operational management of the retail team in support of the retail strategy.
- Work with the Head of Retail and Retail Sales Manager to host Retail Sales Meetings, engaging the team with the broader aims of the charity.
Income Generation
- Manage the full gift aid claim process, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid conversion rates.
- Manage the shops e-commerce and online operations, research and implement associated platforms.
- Support sales promotions and seasonal changes across the chain of shops.
- Support colleagues to develop opportunities for niche sales offers.
- Regularly review shops departmental sales performance to support sourcing and supply of specific stock.
- Working with fundraising colleagues to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.
Standards and Compliance
- Manage full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements.
- Deliver and manage internal and external audit processes working with Retail Sales Manager and Head of Retail to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of The Children’s Trust.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Scope's brand new Fulham shop (Opening shortly). An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.

The role is full time and offered as hybrid working. It will support community fundraising activities including challenge and sponsored events, organising volunteer fundraising activities and working with local communities to raise funds for Stoll. We're on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Store Manager to join our retail team in the heart of Dartford.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7)
About the role
Our Store Managers lead by example - making bold decisions and taking action if things are not working. You will have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers, encouraging them to bring new ideas and to build their knowledge of the BHF. Great customer service is essential to maximise income as is the sourcing and merchandising of products and understanding all cost-effective income streams, with omni-channel and online being priority to deliver our retail proposition.
This position is for 37.5 hours and includes weekends on a rota basis.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic customer service professional with previous charity experience and experience of supporter relationship work to join our Fundraising team.
This is a new post that will oversee the development and implementation of a Supporter Experience strategy in line with income generation priorities and objectives.
We are looking for someone who is a data driven and innovative professional, passionate about delivering high class journeys for Life supporters with the overall aim of increasing net income and converting supporters into donors.
We are looking for a committed individual who can implement strategic plans and create operational business plans. You will manage and motivate a small team and have an advanced use and understanding of CRM databases to manage supporters and maximise their value.
