Corporate Fundraising Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

Hours: 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday)

Location: Hybrid (Office in Amersham, Buckinghamshire), with occassional travel across the UK

Job Description:

In this interim role, you’ll play a key part in driving forward our corporate partnerships work to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and organisations to support our mission. You’ll identify and develop high-value opportunities, inspire charitable giving, and provide excellent stewardship to ensure partners feel valued, engaged, and motivated to continue their support. 

You’ll also contribute to maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of new prospects, supporting the long-term sustainability of our work. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the corporate fundraising programme at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, Director of Development, and Brand & Marketing Manager. 

• Deliver an ambitious corporate partnerships strategy that supports both regional (aligned with Roald Dahl Nurse locations) and national growth. 

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the Fundraising and Communications team, supporting the charity’s broader income and engagement goals. 

• Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Fundraising Executive 

Corporate Partnership Development 

• Identify, research, package and secure high-value corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and employee fundraising opportunities. 

• Proactively grow and manage the new business pipeline, forecasting income and tracking likelihood of success, ensuring alignment with agreed income targets. 

• Build creative, compelling cases for support and deliver inspirational, tailored pitches and proposals to senior corporate audiences. 

• Horizon scan to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging sectors, working closely with the Programmes Team to align fundraising opportunities with service delivery and impact. 

Account Management & Stewardship 

• Deliver high-quality relationship management for all existing corporate partners, ensuring clear communication, excellent stewardship, and sustained engagement, with support from the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and other senior staff as needed. 

• Create and implement bespoke fundraising plans and incentives to support multi-year, mutually beneficial partnerships. 

• Prepare engaging, tailored assets and communications including proposals, presentations, impact reports and updates for corporate supporters. 

• Represent the charity confidently at meetings and events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. 

Performance & Financial Management 

• Track, analyse and report on income, ROI, and engagement across all corporate partnerships. 

• Manage the corporate fundraising income and expenditure, reporting performance against forecasts. 

• Maintain oversight of all contractual agreements and partnership terms for corporate partnerships and cause-related marketing. 

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support 

• Work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Communications team to deliver a calendar of corporate fundraising events, campaigns, and activity. 

• Contribute content and stories to the charity’s website, newsletter, annual review, and other external communications. 

• Ensure strong collaboration with the Programmes Team to develop impactful narratives. 

• Support the maintenance of accurate records on Beacon, ensuring all corporate fundraising activity is logged in our CRM system.

The Role

St Stephen’s is growing Evangelical Charismatic Resource church with a congregation of around 500 adults, 80 children, 70 youth and a large and welcoming staff team.

The Senior Children’s and Families Pastor is a key role within the staff team at St Stephen’s.

We are looking for someone with a passion to see children (0-11s) and their families grow as whole life disciples of Jesus, with direct experience working with children, and proven strategic leadership skills, to lead this ministry into continued growth at this exciting time for St Stephen’s.

Currently there are 4 main strands to children’s ministry at St Stephen’s:

1. Church based kid’s ministry and discipleship

2. Community pre-school and families

We expect the director of children’s ministry to oversee all these strands but directly lead the church-based ministry and at least one other area.

About the team

Part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, this role reports directly to the Strategic Partnerships Director and works closely with philanthropy teams across the federation (particularly those in the UK and US), with programmes colleagues across the UK and Nepal and with the UK Communications department, to deliver first class donor engagement.

About the role

As our Senior Manager for Philanthropy Products, you will engage and inspire philanthropists through a new high-value proposition. This proposition will create transformational change whilst also delivering sector leading stewardship, piloting new channels and formats for reporting and engagement.  

In this role, you will:

• Lead this initiative - driving progress, ensuring global coordination and overseeing the global funding pipeline.
• Develop innovative, sector leading communications for donors and prospects
• Represent the proposition externally
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and creating tailored, impactful content.
• Proven ability to develop innovative stewardship and reporting products.
• Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and driving collaboration across teams.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on delivery and results.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience engaging ultra-high net worth individuals, particularly in the UK and US.
• Experience developing and managing digital donor reporting tools, such as private portals.
• Understanding of international development issues.
• Experience working in large, complex international organisations.

As The Childhood Trust’s Volunteer Manager, you’ll be responsible for volunteers across the organisation.

Your role will include oversight of the corporate and community volunteers who take part in our Transforming Spaces programme. You will work closely with colleagues in the fundraising team to create a positive and inspiring experience for corporate volunteers. 

Key to this role will be working with the Head of Volunteering and Community Programmes to embed volunteering across The Childhood Trust. You will lead on developing a diverse and inclusive volunteer base of skilled and specialist individual volunteers, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where they feel valued and connected to the mission.
