As part of the role, you’ll be:
- Reporting to our Policy Manager for Health and Care, and contributing to the development of our policy positions, statements and arguments in pursuit of our goals to improve the lives of people living with MS.
- Ensuring our policy work is built around strong evidence and is informed by, and developed with, people living with MS, their carers and health and care professionals
- Working closely with our colleagues in Campaigns, Public Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement, PR and Research to develop effective policy positions, campaigns and influencing programmes around key issues facing people living with MS.
We have strong relationships across the sector. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with coalition partners to effectively influence external stakeholders and amplify the voices of people living with MS.

About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is confident in being able to provide office operations and finance administrative support to the Society and to the CEO.

- Be the first point of contact for visitors to our office, and administer the hello@ email.
- Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive
- Administer day-to-day financial processes and the accounts@ email, helping staff with their finance queries.
- Take minutes during key strategic meetings
- Provide administrative support in office operations
- Meet and greet visitors for business meetings, prepare meeting
rooms where necessary, and support our in-office events. - Contribute to our well-being activity schedule, supporting the team

The Events Administrator will play a key role in supporting a variety of elements across Congress and other events including areas such as scientific programme and speaker administration, social programme logistics, registration and delegate administration, sponsorship and exhibition administration support and onsite delivery.

Skills and experience:
They are looking for a self-motivated individual with exceptional organisational skills that can demonstrate experience of working on complex projects. About Our Client:
Our client is a professional membership association which exists to advance care for companion animals. With a membership of more than 10,000 veterinary surgeons, vet nurses and students, they work in the UK and internationally to promote excellence in small animal practice through education and science, by facilitating training, conducting research, and developing policy. This post is a full-time role working 37.5 hours in the Congress department and reports to the Events Manager.

What will I be doing?
Work independently to provide timely, proactive, pragmatic, high quality and commercial legal advice and solutions to the organisation.
Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of legal agreements relating to collaborative research and the protection and commercial exploitation of intellectual property.
Build an excellent understanding of CRH's business areas, building rapport and good working relationships across CRH and CRUK, as well as with internal and external clients.
Identify, advise on and ensure good contract management practice, in particular to embed the various policies and programmes designed to ensure contractual, corporate and legislative compliance.
Advise on spin-out activity and drafting and negotiating relevant agreements.
Develop and deliver training sessions to business managers.
Develop and maintain know-how and legal resources including through the intranet, such as template agreements and guidance notes on common issues/questions.

What skills are you looking for?

What the job involves
At Prostate Cancer UK we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and innovative patient information professional to join our Health Information team. We produce award-winning health information that ensures people with or who are worried about prostate cancer have access to clear, evidence-based, high-quality and impartial resources that can support them throughout their prostate cancer journey.
The team puts the needs of our service users at the heart of its work and it’s more important than ever that we can understand and respond flexibly. We’re also striving for even greater inclusivity and accessibility so that our service meets the needs of the diverse populations we serve.
The charity currently carries the Patient Information Forum’s (PIF) Tick, which commits us to producing all our health information to its standards of quality. We rely on insight from men with lived experience of prostate cancer and healthcare professional expertise to produce high quality information. We also work closely with our clinical nurse specialists and clinical data teams to ensure our information is based on the latest evidence and clinical practices.
As a Health Information officer, you’ll develop new and review existing health information that empowers men to make informed choices about the healthcare they receive. You’ll be part of a team that supports men on every step of the prostate cancer journey; from raising the awareness of men at high risk, to guiding them through the diagnostic pathway and helping them decide on treatment options that are right for them.
You’ll be critical to maintaining the smooth running of production processes across print and digital formats to a dedicated three-year cycle. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing evaluation of our health information resources and service, making sure they’re efficiently and effectively meeting the needs of those affected by prostate cancer.
What we want from you
You’ll know how to critically appraise and communicate complex information to lay audiences in writing and be very familiar with writing digital health information. You’ll understand ways of engaging with service users and healthcare professionals to shape our health information and strive to ensure that you’re inclusive of the diverse prostate cancer population we serve.
With experience in working to tight deadlines, you’ll be able to work with flexibility and partnering with the team to work collaboratively. You’ll be able to demonstrate empathy, working with those who are affected by prostate cancer and understanding and addressing the difficulties they present or experience.

Action for M.E. is the only charity in the UK providing direct support including healthcare to children and adults with M.E.. We provide vital support services, campaign for change and invest in ground-breaking research to help put an end to the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by people with M.E.
Opportunity:
Having been paused to new referrals, Action for M.E.’s free, independent, Adults Advocacy service will soon be re-opening. It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.
Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.
As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.
