We have an exciting opportunity to join the PAN London Children and Young People's multi-crime service. We are recruiting for a Full Time Senior CYP Caseworker, to support children and Young people who have been impacted by crime.

About the role:

This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.

As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:

  • Conduct risk assessment to ensure each CYP receives a tailored support that meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
  • Provide one to one support to children & young people who are a victim or witness to a crime & advocate on their behalf
  • Manage a caseload of different risk level cases & regularly review risk
  • Make any necessary referrals to MARAC & follow local safeguarding processes
  • Involve children & young people in making decisions about themselves & the development of the service.
  • Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing & attend meetings as required
  • Manage up to 4 staff, conducting supervisions & case reviews, providing support & coaching as required

You will need:

  • Experience of working directly with vulnerable children and young people
  • Knowledge of risk assessment & actions required to safeguard children & young people
  • An understanding of the issues for children & young people experiencing crime
  • Experience of building relationships & delivering effective multi-agency a partnership work
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
  • The ability to maintain accurate & confidential case records
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft Office
