About the role
As we continue to build on the successes achieved over the last 3 years, Gresham College is seeking a new Head of Fundraising and Engagement, who will be responsible for driving income generation for the College and for engaging our audiences through traditional and digital means.
The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will play the central role in continuing to draw new forms of income to support the College’s educational mission. You will lead on a portfolio of income-generating activities, including individual giving and legacies, corporate sponsorship, events, trusts and foundations, business development, venue hire and collaborative partnerships.
You will build on the success of the 6.5 million annual views of our YouTube channel to generate income from small donations and memberships, as well as play the lead role in growing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and corporations.
As Head of Fundraising and Engagement, you will have responsibility for the College’s wider profile and engagement, in owned, earned and paid-for media, including traditional and digital channels.
You will be responsible for brand management and development, including management of the College’s online and PR presence to grow our profile and reputation.
The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will line manage a team of four.
Who we are looking for
You will have a track record of success in raising income in a charity environment, alongside knowledge of the requirements of the fundraising regulator and best practice in the sector.
You will bring experience of working across a range of income generation areas and activities, including membership, HNWIs, corporate, and trusts and foundations. It is essential that candidates demonstrate their ability to identify, build and maintain strong donor, sponsor and supporter relationships. You should also be familiar with managing engagement and communications programmes, particularly through digital means.
Candidates should bring experience of managing individuals or teams focused on income generation within a relevant setting and be able to demonstrate the impact of their leadership through the achievement of successful income generation activities.

Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.
With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.
In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.
This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

Must haves:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of producing high quality written materials that are tailored to the needs of specific internal or external audiences.
* Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to deadline.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven experience of good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to problem solve and proactively troubleshoot.
* High level of planning and organisation skills, with an ability to manage competing deadlines from different sources.
* Working knowledge of MS Office products and databases.
* A passion to join Age UK in supporting older people across the UK.

* Experience working in fundraising, preferably with corporate partners, grant funders or major donors.

Additional Information
* This role is not a donor-facing role but sits within the newly created Partnerships and Philanthropy Operations team that provides the back-of-house systems, processes, content and support to enable donor-facing colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively.
* We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London hub near Tower Hill at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays). From time to time, we may also require the successful candidate to come into our London hub for face-to-face meetings at other times in the week: as per the terms of our hybrid contracts we aim to give seven days' notice when this happens.
* This role may on occasions require travel outside of London and working outside of normal office hours e.g. for funder events and cultivation activities.

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities.
Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers. After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. The network is made up of thousands of cultural professionals who’ve all offered to share crucial gateways into hard to crack industries like TV, publishing and architecture with young people.
This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can
scale.
