Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. The purpose of this post is to feed into strategy, providing guidance and direction to ensure that Community Fundraising continues to grow as an area of income and that all Community Fundraisers receive high-quality support and stewardship.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

Developing and maintaining a strong network of working relationships with individual fundraisers and supporters.

Taking responsibility for income generation from various sources including:
- physical fundraising challenges
- non-physical fundraising events
- educational institutions
- community groups
- celebration fundraising (e.g. birthdays and weddings)

Ensuring oversight of Women’s Aid’s annual flagship fundraising event, the 1.7 Challenge, and any other mass fundraising events.
What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role.

Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising.

Experience of working within a team and individually to achieve success; meeting or exceeding your financial targets.

Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals.

Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters.

Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable.

Ability to carry out thorough research to keep-up-to date with new fundraising opportunities.

The Senior Accountant (Financial Control) post can be based in either the London or Manchester office. This role is in the central Financial Accounting and Control Team (FACT). In addition to being DCMS’ financial accounting Centre of Excellence, the team leads in the production of the consolidated accounts of the DCMS Group (with 34 of its 42 Arms Length Bodies directly consolidated) and manages the National Lottery Distribution Fund. The Royal College of Pathologists is seeking a Head of IT to lead the IT strategy and operational management of the IT function. The post holder will have a proven understanding of technology transformation and the opportunities this can provide for the College. The role will be responsible for shaping and executing the IT strategy to support the overall business objectives and strategic plans, while at the same time taking an active lead on the operational aspects of IT and AV support services. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Head of IT is a highly visible and leading role and will work closely with all departments and the Senior Management Team.
Currently embarked on an organisation-wide technology transformation project, this will be a primary initial focus with the aim of being more connected, efficient, and providing more effective member services. As a funding officer you will assess requests for funding and work together with colleagues to make funding decisions.
By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.
You will manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
You will work with stakeholders at different levels, represent the Fund within your local area including at funding fairs and external meetings and create opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your conversations, events, grant holder reports and evaluations with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.

Whatever your background, we will expect you to have some skills and experience in areas such as:

You will need to show an understanding of the voluntary and community sector, so you will find it helpful to have paid or unpaid work experience in these areas. You might have experience in the type of projects that we fund, for example, community work, health, arts, sports or environmental conservation.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a UK-based charity that aims to improve the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and their families. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition that affects the lungs and digestive system, affecting over 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

This role sits in the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships team and will work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts) and the Trusts and Statutory Manager to help the team achieve its plans for growth.
The main purpose of this role is to build relationships with and grow income from charitable trusts and corporate foundations to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s strategic aims.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of trusts up to the midlevel range with the possibility of working with the team on higher level proposals where opportunities arise.
As Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will:
- Identify and develop new trusts relationships to increase the prospect base for the Trust
- Build on existing pipelines and working with the prospect researcher to develop a strong pipeline of trusts and foundations at 4- and 5-figure level
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to maximise the fundraising opportunities presented by existing and new programme and research activities
- Develop and implement key donor cultivation plans to ensure opportunities are maximised
