We are a multi-award-winning, creative, and innovative organisation, and the Database Officer is a role at Al-Khair Foundation, sitting within the Database team and delivering on a range of database tasks and processes utilising our Salesforce database. We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. We seek someone who is naturally process-driven and has a great eye for detail. You will be responsible for specific monthly processes, such as organisation income reconciliation and ongoing data uploads and cleansing for the Fundraising teams. You will also become a champion for Salesforce and understand the importance of CRM to help Al-Khair Foundation achieve our goals and provide a better service to our donors, supporters, and participants.
Your Role
Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.
- Supporting the Fundraising teams with their monthly income recording and reconciliation.
- Liaising with external agencies and the Finance team.
- Checking for and correcting inaccuracies and updating supporter records.
- Running reports for the Fundraising and Finance teams.
- Maintaining and carrying out regular database processes, including data cleansing.
- Supporting the Database Coordinator and the Senior Data Manager to encourage best-practice use of the database across the organisation, including assisting with onboarding and new user training and being on hand for day-to-day technical support when the Database Coordinator is unavailable.
- Working with external partners (i.e., telemarketing agencies) to ensure the successful and smooth transition of data onto the database.
- Spotting and reporting database glitches and problems.
- Supporting with the ticketing system as a second point of contact in the Database team.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
Girls Not Brides is seeking an experienced digital communications professional to manage the Girls Not Brides website in English, French and Spanish, including website development, maintenance, continuous improvement planning, infrastructure, architecture, and user journey. You will be responsible for implementing a website improvement project and a new members area. This role will also be responsible for developing and producing performance data, evaluation, and reporting across our digital channels. We are looking for someone who has a passion for managing websites, using data to improve performance and engagement, and using digital platforms to drive movements. The successful applicant will support across our digital channels. This role sits in the Communications Team and reports to the Communications Manager. You will work closely with external website developers to deliver a website that showcases Girls Not Brides and our role as the global movement to end child marriage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Girls Not Brides website (70%)
- Lead the development and implementation of the website improvement strategy and project plan, with support from the Communications Manager.
- Recommend and manage changes to the website architecture, front-end design, features, integrations, and user-journey improvements.
- Manage the day-to-day of activity of Girls Not Brides website, including uploading content in 3 languages (English, French and Spanish), optimising content for web, updating static pages when needed, and recommending updates and upgrades to the CMS.
- Responsible for managing website projects, including the upgrade, update and support and maintenance pipeline, as well as larger-scale changes to website functionality and architecture, managing external contractors to produce the work required on time and within budget.

The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes. The role will include recruiting young people, engaging them in co-producing fun and creative activities and workshops which will take place at the drop-ins, as well as supporting them in planning and delivering the social action programmes.
Typically, sessions will occur Sundays (TBC) and young people from the ages 8 to 18 will attend. We are also planning to start a second drop-in session from September, which is likely to run on a Friday evening.
The post holder will support young people to plan some social action programmes directly, as well as support young people into other youth-led community action programmes at FYA.
Examples of projects include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and festivals and peer education activities.

The Senior Programme Officer for Schools2030 will lead on resource mobilisation for the Schools2030 programme as well as allocation of funding across the programme countries and workstreams. Resource Mobilisation:
- Lead on resource mobilisation and the development of new proposals for the Schools2030 programme to develop narrative content for proposals and proposal budgets. This should all be done in close coordination with the Global Partnerships team, other members of the Global Secretariat, country teams, and finance teams.
- Lead on scoping new funding opportunities for Schools2030, working closely with the Global Partnerships team, and identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities for the programme
Coordination:
- Manage the smooth functioning of the Schools2030 Partnerships and Finance teams including through leading weekly progress meetings, monitoring deliverables and setting team priorities on a weekly and monthly basis, in coordination with the broader Schools2030 Secretariat.
- Develop annual funding plans (including aligning donor grants to programme workstreams, identifying areas for fundraising) with Global Programme Manager, Finance, Partnerships and Country Units
- Coordinate external technical partnerships, including developing TORs for external technical partners and tracking achievement of deliverables.

Donor Reporting
- Support the Schools2030 Partnership Officer on development of external reports and ensuring alignment with financial reports developed by Schools2030 Finance Officers

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In 2022, The Hygiene Bank published groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 3.1 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. Job Description
The Fundraising Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation and wider team, with a responsibility to help fulfil the charity’s fundraising plans. The role will support the charity’s Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement to help raise and grow revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, with a particular focus on maximising funds from trusts, foundations and grant-giving organisations, as we implement our new fundraising strategy.
Responsibilities
· Research and build relationships with new and existing grant-making organisations.
· Write and submit applications to grant-making organisations.
· Keep the pipeline of support and the fundraising database updated.
