Senior Communications Officer
The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior Communications Officer to join their Strategic Partnerships and Communications team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
As a Senior Communications Officer with Clean Air Fund you would help to support the Clean Air Fund’s communications and engagement with our key audiences of governments, funders, businesses, researchers, civil society organisations and campaigners. You will help proactively shape and deliver Clean Air Fund’s strategic communications activities to tackle global air pollution. You will lead our social media strategy and management to grow our digital audiences and foster deeper engagement. supporting the clean air movement. Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of compelling communications and developing our digital channels. To be successful in this role you will have

Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. The role
The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. A key part of the role is supporting the fundraising campaigns by helping to draft relevant copy for email campaigns and calls-to-action on social media.
The charity has a small team, so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks. And this varied role gives plenty of scope to share creative ideas to develop our portfolio of community activities and challenge events, use your strong communication skills to support fundraisers and apply your excellent organisational skills to track impact and outcomes.
The role currently reports to a committed Board of Trustees, many of whom have a personal connection to the cause.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

This exciting role will ensure that we offer our audiences the best possible experience through the Foundation’s website and other digital platforms. Using a data-led approach, you’ll be able to use your user experience expertise to help drive the adoption of a digital-first way of working across the Foundation’s activities.
What does the role involve?
· Managing the relationship with our website development agency. Making recommendations for areas of improvement and further development.
· Managing our analytics and other insight platforms to ensure that we collect robust data and can make informed, evidence-based recommendations to ensure we’re using digital to deliver against the Foundation’s strategic objectives.
· Support and develop the implementation of an SEO strategy for our website content to ensure that our audiences can find our content.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
· Ability to interpret complex requirements and user needs and make recommendations of implementable solutions.
· Knowledge of the fundamental of Agile and Scrum
· Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio)
· Analytical skills with the ability to effectively capture, process and interpret information and make actionable, evidence-based recommendations.

Job summary
Malaria No More UK are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to support the Head of Communications on the leadership, planning and delivery of MNMUK’s media strategy to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and drive support for our cause. This role will support MNMUK’s campaigning and activity in the UK and internationally, working across the organisation and working closely with colleagues leading our advocacy, government relations, political campaigning and partnerships work. This role will also support MNMUK’s corporate communications work, specifically copywriting our core organisational materials, including board & annual reports.
Key responsibilities
Communications:
- Lead and deliver Malaria No More UK’s media strategy, including relationship building with media outlets, journalists and influencers to drive tactical, political and news media coverage.
- Lead on the development and management of pro or low bono partnerships with UK and global media organisations.
- Produce written media materials such as press releases, Q&As and spokesperson briefings.
- Lead and develop MNMUK’s corporate and campaign written materials such as donor reports, annual & board reports, fundraising applications and website copy, ensuring that we have a consistent and powerful style that aligns with our brand, values and creative content approach.
- Advise and support on media activity in other markets, including Kenya.
- Source and manage spokespeople for media and communications opportunities, working closely with our Head of Ambassador Relations & Creative Partnerships and our Strategic Communications and Engagement Manager.
- Support MNMUK’s Philanthropy and Partnerships team with media and communication support for our corporate partners, institutional donors, and philanthropic foundation partners, including monitoring partner media, developing joint communications, and representing the communications team at partner meetings.
- Act as a key representative of the MNMUK communications team in meetings and planning for our UK campaigning, ensuring other members of the communications team are brought in to support when needed.
- Build external relationships and networking within NGO and communications sectors.
- Keep abreast of trends and best practice in communications and horizon scanning.
- Media monitoring and reporting, including the sourcing and management of databases, platforms and other services to support our media work.
Strategy:
- Development and implementation of Malaria No More UK’s media work to support our UK and international strategies, including taking responsibility for media planning, reporting and management to allow monitoring of progress against plan.
Other Responsibilities
- Undertake any other reasonable additional duties as required by MNMUK.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
- A proven track record of working with UK media to support advocacy campaigns for a range of UK and international audiences.
- A deep understanding and experience of political and news media in the UK.
- Exceptional copy writing skills for media and corporate communications products.
- Experience of working with partners and PR agencies to deliver strategic and politically salient media work in international markets.
- Experience of delivering media plans to support collaborative, multi-partner projects and campaigns.
- Experience of working as part of a multi-discipline communications team, integrating media plans alongside digital strategies and creative content.
- Team player, outstanding communicator and influencer.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to assume leadership responsibilities and informed decisions as required.
- Demonstrable personal skills in creative thinking and new ideas.
- Project management experience in communications campaigns.
- Experience of cultivating and managing PR agencies and media partners.

- Experience of using high-profile individuals in media strategies and broader communications activities.

Purpose of job:
Comic Relief is looking for a Digital Fundraising Lead to assume responsibility as the driving force behind our fundraising and engagement strategies. The Digital Fundraising/Marketing Lead is responsible for overseeing the Fundraising and Engagement strategies, planning and performance of our digital marketing channels, to deliver ambitious organisational objectives and fundraising growth targets. Comic Relief’s fundraising and public engagement is delivered primarily through it’s digital channels, and in this role you will lead the digital fundraising team and cross-organisational project teams in driving high performance across these channels, including web UX journey and optimisation, email communications and paid media campaigns to facilitate the delivery of over £18M income across Fundraising.

Key responsibilities:
· Lead the strategy setting and annual planning and budget setting for Comic Relief’s Digital Marketing & Fundraising, including building financial models, developing business cases, monitoring budgets and updating forecasts
· Manage and coach a team of digital fundraisers to execute fundraising, (acquisition and engagement), activity across our key digital channels to deliver against agreed plans and objectives across the entire Fundraising team, specifically focussed on the UK public audience: individuals and communities of individuals, including schools and workplaces
