We are seeking a brilliant major donor fundraiser to play a crucial role in generating funds from HNWIs through major gifts and legacies. As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will step into a newly created position in the team that will focus on creating and implementing a compelling major donor programme.

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive to join our team in this integral and newly created role. The role will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, and developing and managing a pipeline of strategic corporate partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work.

Key responsibilities:

· Identify and nurture relationships with prospective corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR.

· Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling funding proposals and presentations tailored to the needs and objectives of corporate partners.

· Lead negotiations and secure funding support from corporate partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work.

· Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with corporate partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.

Skills and experience:

· Experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income from prospective corporate partners, supported by detailed partnership plans.

· Experience of developing and managing at least five-figure partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare related companies is desirable.

· Experience of creating and organising supporter engagement events is desirable.

· Excellent and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners.

· Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and deliver upon corporate partnership objectives.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Key Accountabilities include:
Technical

• Use deep technical expertise and proven experience on innovative finance and delivering enterprise development programmes to lead on the delivery and/or support of existing (eg. 3 Ukraine, Kumwe Hub) and upcoming (eg Turkey, Nigeria, Ethiopia) Enterprise Development programmes to exit point.
• Use proven commercial experience to support the development and delivery of the strategy to explore SCUK's commercial opportunities such as shared value partnerships.

About You

The role will lead digital supporter acquisition, working closely with the brand marketing team to deliver supporter-centred, creative marketing campaigns and activity across a range of channels.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and develop Tommy’s supporter acquisition strategy taking an audience-first approach to activity, using a range of tactics including paid digital, SEO and email.

· Lead the team to manage and optimise paid campaigns across platforms including search, social, and other relevant channels to maximise brand engagement and income.

· With a focus on acquisition, work alongside the Supporter Engagement Manager to keep new and existing supporter journeys updated and on brand.

· Develop creative, engaging content in line with our content and channel strategies for campaigns and projects, working closely with the wider marketing and fundraising.

· Support an integrated cross-departmental approach with Tommy’s individual giving, mass fundraising and partnership fundraising teams to support income generation and growth.

· Work in collaboration with fundraising project teams in the development and marketing of new products, events and campaigns, providing marketing expertise at every stage of the process from inception to delivery.

· Champion a supporter-first approach, rooted in audience insight.

· Use data and insights to map and analyse audience behaviour to inform marketing and fundraising activity (GA4, brand insights, market research).

· Analyse and use data insight to implement continual improvements and optimisations to campaigns and initiatives to hit OKRs.

· Support in creating and updating tracking dashboards to monitor performance

Person Specification:

· Experienced with project management.

· Strong performance marketing experience (including paid social media advertising, PPC, SEO)

· Knowledge of social media content strategies across paid and organic.

· Delivery against budgets.

· Experience of building lasting relationships with a range of stakeholders.

· Content management systems (ideally Drupal).

· Adobe creative suite.

· E-news platform skills (Adestra or equivalent).

· Database (Raiser’s Edge or equivalent).

· Editorial skills, ability to adapt content and tone of voice as required.

Role Overview
