Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role will form an integral part of our three person Policy and Public Affairs team based in Scotland, working as part of a UK-wide Policy and Influencing team. The role will drive forward our policy projects to reduce poverty in later life, conducting expert research and policy analysis and turning this into persuasive evidence to catch the attention of decision makers and persuaders. The postholder will create opportunities to amplify the voices of older people in poverty and work to secure support for our policy recommendations in Holyrood.
You will have strong research skills with experience of turning quantitative and qualitative data into high quality, persuasive policy outputs. You will have experience developing credible, evidence-based policy solutions, informed by the perspectives and insights of people with lived experience.
You will be a skilled verbal and written communicator with the ability to engage different audiences. You will build strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders to advance the solutions needed to address poverty in later life, using your knowledge of the political landscape in Scotland and passion for our cause.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
Girls Not Brides is seeking an experienced digital communications professional to manage the Girls Not Brides website in English, French and Spanish, including website development, maintenance, continuous improvement planning, infrastructure, architecture, and user journey. You will be responsible for implementing a website improvement project and a new members area. This role will also be responsible for developing and producing performance data, evaluation, and reporting across our digital channels. We are looking for someone who has a passion for managing websites, using data to improve performance and engagement, and using digital platforms to drive movements. The successful applicant will support across our digital channels. This role sits in the Communications Team and reports to the Communications Manager. You will work closely with external website developers to deliver a website that showcases Girls Not Brides and our role as the global movement to end child marriage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Girls Not Brides website (70%)
- Lead the development and implementation of the website improvement strategy and project plan, with support from the Communications Manager.
- Recommend and manage changes to the website architecture, front-end design, features, integrations, and user-journey improvements.
- Manage the day-to-day of activity of Girls Not Brides website, including uploading content in 3 languages (English, French and Spanish), optimising content for web, updating static pages when needed, and recommending updates and upgrades to the CMS.
- Responsible for managing website projects, including the upgrade, update and support and maintenance pipeline, as well as larger-scale changes to website functionality and architecture, managing external contractors to produce the work required on time and within budget.
- Research and implementing best-practices for search engine optimisation (SEO) across website copy and architecture.
- Produce and manage a clear, well-documented approach to web analytics, producing regular reports, monitoring user behaviour and website traffic, carrying out benchmarking, identifying KPIs and providing actionable insights.

The Senior Accountant (Financial Control) post can be based in either the London or Manchester office. This role is in the central Financial Accounting and Control Team (FACT). In addition to being DCMS’ financial accounting Centre of Excellence, the team leads in the production of the consolidated accounts of the DCMS Group (with 34 of its 42 Arms Length Bodies directly consolidated) and manages the National Lottery Distribution Fund. IRC has been delivering education programmes in the UK since May 2022. This consists of the Healing Classrooms Programme (and its various iterations) and the Healing Spaces programme. The Healing Classrooms programme delivers trauma-informed training to schools and teachers to help them better support refugee and asylum-seeking students. The Healing Spaces programme is similar but provides training to volunteers and staff that support refugee and asylum-seeking youth outside of school settings.

A critical part of the role is also managing the Foundation’s CRM (Raisers’ Edge) system across the organisation.
You will be line managed and supported day-to-day by the Senior Fundraising Manager, who will work with you to upskill and develop you in the charity sector. This is a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the team. Schools2030 is a global programme focused on holistic learning and teacher leadership. The programme brings together a diverse coalition which includes educators, school leaders, civil society, researchers, international organisations, and government across ten countries and 1,000+ schools. The Senior Programme Officer for Schools2030 will lead on resource mobilisation for the Schools2030 programme as well as allocation of funding across the programme countries and workstreams. The Senior Programme Officer will coordinate closely with the Schools2030 Partnership and Finance teams and will manage the smooth functioning with the rest of the Schools2030 Global Secretariat. Working closely with the Schools2030 Partnerships Officer, the Senior Programme Officer will support on external reporting, including to Schools2030 consortium of donors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Resource Mobilisation:
- Lead on resource mobilisation and the development of new proposals for the Schools2030 programme to develop narrative content for proposals and proposal budgets. This should all be done in close coordination with the Global Partnerships team, other members of the Global Secretariat, country teams, and finance teams.
- Lead on scoping new funding opportunities for Schools2030, working closely with the Global Partnerships team, and identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities for the programme
Coordination:
- Manage the smooth functioning of the Schools2030 Partnerships and Finance teams including through leading weekly progress meetings, monitoring deliverables and setting team priorities on a weekly and monthly basis, in coordination with the broader Schools2030 Secretariat.
- Develop annual funding plans (including aligning donor grants to programme workstreams, identifying areas for fundraising) with Global Programme Manager, Finance, Partnerships and Country Units
- Coordinate external technical partnerships, including developing TORs for external technical partners and tracking achievement of deliverables.
- With finance and partnerships, oversee the Schools2030 grant and budget database to ensure alignment between grants, budgets and partner contracts
Donor Reporting
- Support the Schools2030 Partnership Officer on development of external reports and ensuring alignment with financial reports developed by Schools2030 Finance Officers
- Present Schools2030 programme and financial progress at Biannual Donor Meetings (March and October each year), with support of Partnership and Finance Team

The Senior Designer will provide a specialist design service to all Mind teams. This will include designing and artworking content across a range of formats (both print and digital), from printed marketing materials and policy reports to digital assets and branded collateral for events. POhWER needs to increase and diversify its income to achieve greater financial sustainability. To do this we need to grow our services to reach new parts of the UK and new areas of work. However we also recognise the importance of retaining our existing contracts. To support this ambition we are looking for someone to support and work with our existing team.
Our Bid Writers coordinate the organisation’s response to all tenders. This includes re-tendering for our existing services as well as responding to tenders for services in new areas, or new services in our existing areas.
The role includes:
· Lead and co-ordinate tender activity ensuring that POhWER wins and retains new and existing services and contracts
· Take ownership of the bid response, style and format and overseeing it through the production process.
· Prepare and write tenders in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer-specific style and content.
