Role overview: as the Director of RAK, you'll lead our organisation in supporting refugees and asylum seekers in South West London to lead fulfilled and independent lives. Proposals for hybrid working will be considered. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership
- Developing and implementing annual plans aligned with our strategy, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, to achieve desired outcomes.

Advocacy and Influencing

The role
The Human Resources Officer, under the guidance of the Senior Office Manager (People and Finance), plays a crucial role in managing and executing the human resources functions within the Foundation.
Your main responsibilities will include:

The individual

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser, dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.
Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.
Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. The Finance and Operations Manager is a key member of Tara Theatre’s team, overseeing the company operations and financial processes. They work alongside a Freelance Finance Director and the Executive Director.
Tara Theatre is a company limited by guarantee, and a charity. It has two trading subsidiaries, Tara Productions and Tara Enterprises. We currently have an annual turnover of circa £1 million.

The Senior Programme Funding Officer role sits within the External Engagement Department and will be responsible for the majority of the team administration. The role will be working closely with the Senior Fundraising Manger and Head of Programme Fundraising to identify and approach new donors, coordinate cross team proposals and support on the development of trips and events. A critical part of the role is also managing the Foundation’s CRM (Raisers’ Edge) system across the organisation.
You will be line managed and supported day-to-day by the Senior Fundraising Manager, who will work with you to upskill and develop you in the charity sector. This is a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the team. It can offer you the opportunity to develop your fundraising skills and gain experience in international development, as well as the opportunity to meet a diverse range of interesting stakeholders.

As Operations Manager at AWN, you will play a vital role in managing and developing the operational business functions of the organisation to support the successful expression of All Ways Network’s (AWN) charitable aims. You will support the Board of Trustees in leading the charity and its staff, building relationships with stakeholders, and developing and implementing our long-term strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Trustees to deliver and improve AWN’s strategic planning, annual operational planning, and budgeting process and ensure our vision and mission are effectively translated into operational goals and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Treasurer to manage the allocation of resources and oversee budgeting, fundraising and grant management.
- Lead on aspects of our HR function with the support of trustees, taking charge of our recruitment, personnel development and staff support.
- Maintain effective internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and manage organisational risks effectively.
- Support the Board of Trustees to maintain effective governance.
- Support the team to develop and manage impactful partnerships and stakeholder relationships, providing strategic advice on project delivery and ensuring our partnership arrangements are well planned and managed with care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility, goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
- Attend events outside office hours and weekends where necessary.
