About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. Role Context

ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable.  We need someone reliable who enjoys and has a proven track record of leading and delivering on operational projects for a business or charity while working with senior stakeholders. • Experience working for a UK-based charity in an administrative, executive support, finance, fundraising or project management role 
• Strong project management skills: a track record of successfully driving small to medium-sized projects
• Strong numerical skills, including experience reporting on or managing budgets, producing management accounts or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills 
• Excellent organisational skills: Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied and demanding workload to meet deadlines
• Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders including Senior level staff, donors and volunteers

Your new company
I am working exclusively with a Regulator, and we are looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Standards team on a permanent basis. This role works across the organisation on numerous programmes that are integral to the work of the regulator. You will be supporting the two Policy managers to enforce minister policies from Central Government departments. The team within this regulator regularly promotes internally.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be:

• Manage policy initiatives from start to finish and provide support to the development of the standards to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to a programme of cross-org policy initiatives.
• Conduct desk-based research to support policy development, ensuring evidence-based policy decisions are being made.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, focus groups and policy forums.
• Work closely with colleagues from the devolved nations and NI.

What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who has

• Experience of Policy work, at the Policy Assistant, Officer, Senior Officer, or Advisor level.
• Able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve multiple priorities.
• Experience of working with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Worked for a Charity, Non-Profit, Regulator or Government Body (highly desirable)

Having already raised £9.9 million for our Up Against Time Appeal, London’s Air Ambulance Charity is currently in the final phase of our campaign to raise £15million by September 2024 to replace our two helicopters. THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE

The Senior Support Services Manager is responsible for leading and developing the charity’s support services for people affected when someone goes missing. You will lead the emotional and practical support provision to families, friends, colleagues and companies impacted by a disappearance. You will play a key role in ensuring that families contribute to and are ‘in the lead’ in influencing the charity’s work and in representing the needs of families across the organisation.

You will lead four key areas of work:

• Family Support
• Peer Support
• Missing From Work
• Advice and Advocacy
• You and your team will make a significant contribution to the charity's strategy 'From Crisis to Hope' and ensure that missing people and their loved ones get the right help at the right time.

ABOUT YOU

You will need to have experience of:

• Managing frontline services delivering emotional and practical support, advocacy, advice, help or support to vulnerable people or families in person, by phone or digitally
• Managing and developing staff and volunteers
• Implementing safeguarding procedures, assessing risk, developing needs assessments and handling complex and sensitive situations
• Facilitating service user peer support, co-production and engagement;
• Planning and running events or groups for service users
• and possess the following skills:
• Ability to support people experiencing trauma
• Practical knowledge of and proven ability to reach vulnerable and underserved groups to develop services which meet their needs;
• Advocacy skills and the ability to train others in how to advocate with other agencies in support of service users
• Ability to develop and drive forward new projects and initiatives, taking the lead and/or working collaboratively with colleagues
• Line management and people development skills
