The role
We are looking for an exceptional Major Donor Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our new major donor team. Working closely with our Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager, this new role will lead on nurturing high-value relationships with prospective major donors who have capacity to give between £10k and £100k to FareShare, and develop and deliver a calendar of high-value cultivation events tailored to opportunities within our networks to strengthen relationships and maximise support.

Key responsibilities
- Build relationships with a portfolio of prospective major donors, understanding their philanthropic motivations, nurturing an affinity in FareShare, and tailoring opportunities for engagement to inspire major gifts.
- Foster a deep understanding of FareShare's work and strategy to effectively communicate, inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the FareShare regional network and building a sound understanding of FareShare operations to support warehouse and frontline charity visits and tours.
- Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen donor relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of donor support.
- Lead the planning and delivery of engaging cultivation events through opportunities presented in our networks, aimed at establishing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
- Prepare effective briefs for our CEO and other senior stakeholders attending major donor meetings or events.
- Work closely with the Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager to enrich the prospect pipeline, always seeking opportunities within our internal and external networks.
- Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
- Constantly scan the external environment and charity sector to optimise major donor experiences and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in our CRM system and consistently update cultivation plans.

World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.
About World Child Cancer
Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.
World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.
Overview of the role
This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.
You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. London’s Ari Ambulance provides advanced trauma care across the capital. Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time). The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. MAIN PURPOSE
The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.
4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.
5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.
6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.
7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.
8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.
9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.
10 Arrange events for Major Donors.
11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner.

Role Context
ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable. The Manager will be a proven major gift fundraiser with a talent for identifying new funders, building a solid pipeline, and unlocking potential opportunities. A proven track record of securing significant asks is imperative along with the ability to present complex information in an interesting and accessible way. The Senior Donor Relations Manager will develop, sustain and nurture lifelong relationships with donors - before, during and after their gift. You will work closely with the philanthropy, corporate, grant team and clinical colleagues across the 3 hospitals to produce compelling and bespoke impact reports, communications and engagement opportunities for donors. The role is the subject matter expert in donor relations and will provide expert advice to stakeholders across the fundraising team and three hospitals regarding donor relations and stewardship activities.
This will mean working strategically to make recommendations, deliver and implement a range of meaningful donor experiences, communications, recognition opportunities, costings and activities for our most significant donors, deepening their connection to the charity and connecting them with the tangible impact of their giving.
To be considered for the role, you will bring experience of translating audience insight and profiling into key messaging and engaging content. You will have experience of planning and managing time pressured projects, of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and experience of using Raiser's Edge or similar customer/donor data base.

About the Role:
As our Senior Advocacy Advisor on International Financial Institutions you will increase and strengthen our advocacy and capacity to influence global development finance institutions, particularly the World Bank but also be informed on major developments in other IFIs, e.g. recent Paris Summit and Global Financing Pact. We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.
In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level.
You'll also:
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.
- Build a network of contacts and relationships, including relevant IFI/ World Bank staff and Executive Directors, gather information, and advocate with the Board and staff of the World Bank on particular country operations and key policy areas
- Build technical knowledge and understanding of the Bank's policies and practices in relation to the WASH sector, including the activities of the International Development Association (IDA) and how these relate to countries in which WaterAid has CPs
- Keep abreast of complex and fast changing political debates and monitor emerging trends internationally, across the Bank's key donor governments to inform WaterAid's political positioning, ensuring the organisation's advocacy is responsive and relevant;Actively participate in and contribute to the political influencing and campaign strategies for the Global Advocacy Priority campaigns on WASH & climate and on WASH & women's health.

About You:
- Excellent understanding of the World Bank and other IFIs, including their policies, lending practices, mandates, ways of working, and how to influence them.

- Demonstrated experience in effective advocacy and policy influencing, with strong skills and track record relationship building and networking for advocacy impact. (including institutions, teams, individuals)

Purpose of the Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the implementation and maintenance of a rolling programme of prospect identification, research and the nurturing of relationships. The Philanthropy team at the Royal Marsden works with the Charity’s most generous individual supporters, connecting them to the projects they are most passionate about and ensuring a truly exceptional supporter experience. The Senior Philanthropy Manager will manage a portfolio of existing major donors to secure 6 and 7 figure donations. They will play a significant part in the Charity’s upcoming Capital Appeal, managing key Appeal Board relationships and working closely with senior internal stakeholders to explore new networks, facilitate introductions and secure gifts.
Key duties include:
