About the role
The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward. As the Director of SPCA you will lead and guide a highly skilled and motivated team to make the SPCA a community hub and a centre of excellence which has a positive impact on the lives of local residents.
The governance of SPCA is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Director will report directly to this Board and work closely with Board members.
Key responsibilities

Main tasks

The Head of Finance will manage the high-performing finance team consisting of a Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Finance Business Partner. Sitting in the Business and Resources Directorate the team are instrumental to the successful running of the RCR. About the role
Reporting into the Finance Manager (Systems and Controls), you will be a key member of the team and the lead officer for the management, maintenance, development and improvement of the Council’s Financial Systems. You will be responsible for the team that deals with all transactional services (accounts payable, accounts receivable and income allocation), reconciliations of these areas, and debtor monitoring. This includes cash handling and income allocation and BACS processing for the Council.
About you
You will be educated to degree level, or with relevant experience of working within this environment. Ideally, you will be a member of an appropriate professional body (CCAB) or be able to strongly evidence equivalent professional experience and be working towards fully qualified status. Previous experience of supporting the closure of accounts process for a large multi-disciplinary organisation to enable the production of compliant Statutory Statement of Accounts is also required for this post.

The Senior Accountant (Financial Control) post can be based in either the London or Manchester office. This role is in the central Financial Accounting and Control Team (FACT). Job purpose
This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of LGT, developing resilient foundations for our front-line services, community development, policy and campaigns work to grow in scale and impact.
Working closely with the CEO, Project and Team Leads, you’ll lead all aspects of financial management from budgeting, accounting and compliance, financial management of grants, to reporting to the Finance Committee to support the Board of Trustees and leadership with financial planning and decision making. With headquarters in London, the role is offered on a hybrid basis – with 2 days per week required onsite. The charity has a turnover of around £7 million, with approximately 80 staff. Their focus is specifically to provide support for kinship carers of children – grandparents, siblings and other family members who support children when parents are unable to provide care.

About Our Client
The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial management of St George's Weybridge, a £30m business with over 500 staff. The post holder will fulfil a wide range of responsibilities and roles in connection with the financial strategy, accounting and general financial management of the School.
