Senior New Corporate Partnerships Executive Jobs in Farringdon, Greater London
SINCE 9/11 are seeking a dynamic and driven leader to manage the charity through its next phase of development.
The Charity Director will be responsible for managing the charity on a day to day basis throughout its next phase of development: developing and implementing the strategy for the organisation, building its capability to deliver this strategy through fundraising activities and putting in place a small team; driving awareness of the SINCE 9/11 Education Programme among key audiences and overseeing the financial administration of the charity, in line with the goals set out by the charity trustees.
CHARITY DIRECTOR ROLE OVERVIEW
This is an important and exciting time for the charity. More than 20 years after the horrific events of 9/11, with our acclaimed SINCE 9/11 education programmes for schools (developed by the world no.1 UCL Institute of Education) and our strategy and vision for the future both now in place, we want to drive the charity even further forward.
Our work remains as important as ever, teaching young people across the UK – who weren’t even born in September 2001 – about the events, causes and consequences of 9/11 and subsequent terrorist atrocities.
In a world where extremism and terrorism pose a huge risk, both to life and to the pluralist ideals of democratic societies, SINCE 9/11 seeks to lead the way in educating young people and steering society towards a more peaceful and tolerant future. In order to do so, we are now seeking a talented, driven and engaging leader who can take our charity to the next level. We believe that we have a high-quality programme to take into schools and other settings working with young people; our challenge now is to ensure that our programme reaches as many schools as possible.
We therefore need a leader who is confident and creative in building relationships with schools, academy trusts, local authorities, subject associations and teaching unions; someone who is familiar with the national education environment. Supported by a high-profile and committed board, our new director will be tasked with putting all of their energy into building those relationships and ensuring that we have a step change in the number of young people accessing our programme.
We believe that doing so will bring us long term financial sustainability and thus the ability to grow and develop our programmes further. In the tough operating environment, with schools currently facing many challenges of their own, we know this will be no easy task. The Board will be ready and willing to support you in any way that we can, as we recognise that appointing a dynamic, committed director is crucial to a continuing successful future for SINCE 9/11.

Bloomsbury Football has seen unprecedented growth over the last five years and now seeks a Director of Fundraising to create a high-performing team to deliver an ambitious strategy.
Applications close at: 9 a.m. Monday 15th April 2024.
Location: Central London office (Camden) with optional one day from home.
About Bloomsbury Football
Bloomsbury Football Foundation uses the power of football to improve the lives of underprivileged young people in London. Through a curriculum focused on social and emotional learning (SEL) skills, we improve the mental and physical health, social mobility, and life opportunities of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Our step model engages previously inactive young people from underserved communities by running free-to-access programmes in schools, community centres and housing estates, before encouraging participants to join our high-engagement, extra-curricular programmes that take place on weekday evenings, weekends and during the school holidays.
Our trusted coaches build long-term relationships with the young people in their care, allowing at-risk children to build their confidence and soft skills in a team environment.
As a result of our outreach programme, 73% of households in our communities are classed as ‘income-deprived’ by the ONS and over half of our beneficiaries receive income-dependent free school meals – more than double the London average.
Founded in 2018, we have grown to work with over 5,000 young people per week across 6 different boroughs, utilising a sliding-scale model of financial assistance to break down barriers to participation in sport for all.
We have seen the impact our model can have, and we want to expand our offering across London – by 2028, we aim to support 20,000 young people in the capital every week.

Refugee Biriyani and Bananas (RBB) is a small grassroots organisation that provides humanitarian aid to displaced communities in Greece and worldwide. We are looking for someone with the skills and determination to help grow our charity over the coming years through effective fundraising across various revenue streams.
We are looking to grow from a small to medium-sized charity over the coming years and to scale the humanitarian aid we can provide across multiple locations. RBB is led by founder and CEO Ruhi Akhtar, 5 engaged Trustees, and a small team of staff and volunteers running our programmes.
To achieve this, we are opening this new role in RBB, looking for an experienced, creative and driven Fundraising Manager with a proven track record of income generation for small charities. The individual will lead on all aspects of our revenue growth with a focus on building a pipeline of opportunities and fundraising capacity across the organisation. We expect there to be a focus across all revenue streams including, but not limited to, Trusts and Foundations, Crowdfunding and Individual Donations.
Role Summary
The person in this role will work closely with the CEO to improve and execute on RBB’s new Fundraising Strategy with the aim to generate more income for our objectives. We expect the incoming Fundraising Manager to continue work on improving and defining our strategy and to execute upon it.
To date, RBB’s CEO has split her time across fundraising and project implementation. This role will provide additional capacity to focus on the overall development of the charity, as well as providing specialist expertise. As such, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and proactive in identifying the key priorities of work to be done and to take a lead.
RBB has a strong track record with small grants and public crowdfunding. Our ideal Fundraising Manager has experience across both these areas and can manage these strands. Alongside these, we have further ambitions to grow our individual donations – including growing recurring donations – as well as corporate in-kind and financial donations.
We are also excited to explore innovative and alternative fundraising streams. These might include influencer marketing, ad campaigns, leveraging student networks or working in partnership with other charities to launch common crowdfunders or develop collaborative bids to foundations.
This is the second full-time role taken on by the charity. As such, the selected individual will become a core part of our small but ambitious charity. The right candidate will demonstrate a passion for helping charities grow in size and impact, and ideally have experience in the refugee and migrant sectors. The Fundraising Manager will be expected to represent the charity publicly to donors and the wider third sector.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of charitable/business development more generally, including Impact Measurement, Communications, Strategy and Project Management.
This role is remote. However, we expect the selected candidate to visit the charity’s work in the field – most likely in Greece – during the first few months of work, and work alongside staff and volunteers to better understand the situation on the ground. We believe this is important to fully understand and represent the charity. All travel costs will be covered by the charity.
Hiring a Fundraising Manager is an incredibly exciting step for us as a charity. For the right candidate this should also be an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of the early-stage growth of an impactful and grassroots charity.

Dear Applicant,
Launched in 2004, Crisis Action is a pioneering organisation that works behind the scenes to enable civil society to respond more effectively to violent conflict. Crisis Action’s unique model and record of impact earned the organisation the 2012 MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions and the 2013 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
We work through innovative campaigns that shift power towards populations at risk and spur collaborations to ensure the safety and rights of affected people in line with international human rights and humanitarian law. We strive to empower those we work with and provide platforms to those with direct experience of conflicts to tell their stories and speak truth to power. You can watch this video for an insight into our model and find out more about our work from our recent annual reports.
We are international, independent, and not-for-profit, with a diverse global team of about 50 people strategically located in Addis Ababa, Beirut, Johannesburg, London, Nairobi, New York, Paris, and Washington DC. Crisis Action’s Board is composed of respected leaders and sector experts from across the humanitarian, human rights, policy, and business spheres.
We are looking for an exceptional, strategic, and dynamic Communications Director to help drive forward and enhance the impact and effectiveness of our work.
If you’re hungry for a challenge, are creative and passionate about driving change, and experienced in influencing the world’s most powerful people to uphold rights and protect civilian lives, we look forward to receiving your application.
Nicola Reindorp
Chief Executive Officer
Overview of the Role
As Communications Director, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Crisis Action’s unique model of campaigning by driving maximum innovation and impact in our campaigns; communicating Crisis Action’s story in new and compelling ways to our diverse network of partners and donors; and by building allies and creative coalitions globally. We are looking for an exceptional changemaker who is an all-in-one storyteller, strategic communicator, newshound, and mentor, with the ability to ensure maximum innovation and impact in our campaigns and communications for the protection of civilians from conflict.
This is not a typical Communications Director role. We do not want our profile raised: in fact, while keeping us entirely behind the scenes, you will help our campaign teams and partners develop and deliver ever-more creative, strategic, and digitally aware campaigns that can achieve cut-through in a dramatically changing geopolitical landscape.
Our new Communications Director will be a seasoned communications professional with a strong understanding of the media landscape, but also an experienced changemaker with the soul and energy of an activist. You understand how change occurs and have a demonstrable passion and track record for making it happen. You seek and drive excellence but are also unafraid to embrace experimentation and failure. Your knowledge and experience of using a broad range of approaches for influencing decision makers, strong news sense, political instincts, and knowledge of different media markets, including – ideally – established relationships in key outlets and platforms - will be critical in shaping our work and fulfilling our mission to protect civilians affected by conflict.
Reporting to Crisis Action’s Director for Emergency Response, Learning and Innovation, you will lead and support our small but powerful Communications team. While this is a senior, strategic role, this position also requires hands-on implementation. You will have the ability to deliver work through your own team, as well as a complex ecosystem of colleagues, partners, and allies from all over the globe, including many of the world’s largest and most high-profile humanitarian and human rights groups. Therefore, the ability to work with and motivate others across teams, organisations, and time zones will be crucial.
We are looking for an outcome-focused individual who enjoys working in small, flexible teams, leading with rigour, initiative, and a high degree of professionalism. You will be comfortable in a fast-paced but fun and highly supportive environment that is laser-focused on impact. You will need to hit the ground running and be ready to engage with your new colleagues and partners to harness their resources and ambition to deliver effective campaigns.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Develop and implement innovative and impactful campaigns to protect civilians and prevent conflict
A core part of your responsibilities will be working with the Communications team and colleagues from our other offices to lead, strategize, or contribute to the global campaigns that Crisis Action coordinates. This will require you to:
-
Lead and support teams in devising smart and savvy media and communications strategies for campaigns
-
Boost organizational creativity and impact by implementing bold and ambitious ideas, and actively scanning for new and creative campaign tactics, tools, and partnerships

You will measure success, capture learnings, mentor colleagues through training, and communicate our behind-the-scenes work to various stakeholders in a way that enhances Crisis Action’s reputation with partners and donors. This will require you to:
-
Ensure timely and impactful communications to key stakeholders such as partners, donors, and board members, including overseeing the coordination, drafting, and editing of the content
-
Working in close collaboration with the fundraising team, coordinate and oversee the vision, design, production, and dissemination of Crisis Action’s annual report
-
Enhance our ways of storytelling to diverse audiences by developing bespoke content on Crisis Action and its campaigns, and training our teams on it
-
Maintain oversight of Crisis Action’s website to ensure it is fit for purpose and updated with the latest campaign and organisational information at all times
3. Contribute to the strategic growth, leadership, and impact of Crisis Action
You will be responsible for consolidating and expanding Crisis Action’s relationships and reputation with our communications and media partners, and civil society network, and for developing and implementing the Communications strategy that aligns with Crisis Action’s overall organisational strategy. As a member of Crisis Action’s Directors Group, you will also play a leadership role on organisational strategy and decision-making, oversight of team performance and well-being. This will require you to:
-
Supervise and mentor the communications team, and any consultants or volunteers that may work with the team or on Crisis Action campaigns
-
Develop and implement a Communications strategy for Crisis Action that enables our campaign teams to deliver real change for civilians in conflict, and helps Crisis Action communicate with diverse stakeholders more effectively
