We have an exciting opportunity for Educational Psychologist to cover 12-month maternity leave.
Hours 37.5 hours, Term Time Only (43 weeks worked) job share will be considered.
Salary £57,398 rising to £62,125 with biennial increments (salary already pro-rated to working weeks)
Location Hybrid worker - home, school or office based as necessary. Together Trust Central office is based in Cheadle, Cheshire. You must be able to commute between the Trust services.
Reports to Head of Clinical Services
A fabulous opportunity to provide psychological assessment for pupils attending Together Trust education settings and external schools, this post offers the unique opportunity to join a newly established Psychology Service by working systematically in multi-disciplinary teams, promoting the emotional well-being, learning and skill development of children and young people.
Working collaboratively with teams in school environments you will provide highly specialist psychological consultation and direct assessment, followed by formulation and intervention where appropriate.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertake highly specialist psychological assessments and needs analysis with internal and external services supported by the Trust.
- Use applied psychology in working closely with staff from a variety of disciplines, parents/ carers and students to develop supports and interventions that mitigate the barriers to learning experienced by students with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
- Work with the Trust Wide Clinical Psychologist, to contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and development of the service, contributing to research, auditing, and service evaluation.
- Support the development of the Trust’s Assistant Psychologists, and the development and facilitation of training placements for Education Psychologists in training.
- Provide, where necessary, highly specialist psychological reports, for key stakeholders and other practitioners within the wider professional network.
About you:
- Registered with the HCPC you will hold a doctorate in Educational Psychology.
- Be able to demonstrate significant post qualification experience supporting children and young people in education settings.
- Have significant experience of undertaking cognitive and psychological assessments, developing formulations and providing recommendations and support plans.
- Be able to deliver training to raise understanding and ability to support children and young people and raise quality of life.
- Be able to demonstrate significant experience in supporting/providing clinical supervision and ability for reflective practice.
- Have knowledge of current educational systems and of those associated with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Evidence significant experience of working with children or young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions and/or with mental health needs.

As part of the Getting Help team, you will provide social and practical support to adults with common mental health problems in a range of settings across Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale (HMR). This includes assessment and support planning, and community outreach. Typically, Community Engagement Workers support people who are on the waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy. The Getting Help team works in partnership with HMR Talking Therapies delivered by the Big Life Group and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The Role

Overall Description

Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is a rapidly growing adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. Since 2002, GRS programs have reached 13 million young people in over 60 countries with life-saving HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health information and services. Grassroot Soccer is looking to continue scaling its impact via partnerships over the next five years.
The Grassroot Soccer Partnerships (GP) team stewards GRS relationships with a wide range of partner organizations globally. The Wellbeing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of children and young people attending our camps. They will assess the social, emotional, and developmental needs of children and young people attending camp to determine the support needed during the camp experience. They will work alongside volunteers and colleagues to implement support strategies at camp that meet these needs.
They must assess, respond to, and escalate safeguarding concerns. The successful candidate will be a registered Children's Nurse with experience in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) or a special interest in children's mental health. They will work closely with camp staff, healthcare professionals, and volunteers to create a nurturing environment that supports the diverse needs and will contribute, when appropriate to nursing / clinical knowledge to ensure a safe and effective service.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Peter Sowerby Foundation is a significant, charitable grant-maker, supporting work in the fields of health, education and community, the arts and the environment.
Registered with the Charity Commission in 2011, the Foundation aims to fulfil the charitable aims of its late settlor, Dr Peter Sowerby, who was a retired GP from rural North Yorkshire and founding partner in Egton Medical Information Systems (EMIS), which now provides database and records management software for over 10,000 healthcare organisations in the UK.
The Foundation is currently managed by a board of four Trustees. These include David Aspinall, Chair of Trustees; Dr David Stables, Peter Sowerby’s former GP partner and an expert in management information systems; Sara Siegel Poulios, lead partner in Deloitte’s Healthcare Strategy who has been seconded to senior positions in the Department of Health and NHS, and Dr Carole Longson, Chief Scientific Officer at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).

The Research and Evidence team carries out, commissions and partners on high quality research, including evaluation research. We seek to advance NSPCC's understanding of, and improve the evidence base around, the prevention of child abuse, and how best to support children who have experienced it. Our research is used to improve our work with children, families and communities, influence the development of policy and contribute to new NSPCC campaigns. We also support research activity at NSPCC via our research advice clinic, evidence summary service, and the NSPCC Research Ethics Committee (made up of external experts).
About the role
This is an exciting and varied role with the opportunity to disseminate research findings directly to those who will be putting them into practice. You will be:
- Applying your research skills to carry out high quality research on a wide range of NSPCC projects
- Project managing small research projects or supporting Senior Research and Evaluation Officers to manage elements of larger research projects.
- Disseminating research findings to a range of different audiences including practitioners, decision makers, policy makers, academics and service users.

Role Purpose:
This role requires a driven and passionate individual to immerse themselves in their region promoting the amazing outcomes that the Kooth services deliver. This position plays an essential part in Kooth’s growth strategy for our child and adult services platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the work of our Kooth services for Children, Young People and Adults by developing new sales opportunities for growth and expansion across the region as well as taking an active role in the renewal and uplift activities, including supporting high quality tender opportunities.
- Using existing relationships and understanding to inform and support the discussions; meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Build a broad strategic network of stakeholders across the region, NHS, local authorities, GPs, VCSE, Service User groups and other organisations through meetings, events and conferences.
- Work closely with ICS leads to develop high performing and sustainable relationships.
- Ensure that Salesforce is maintained with contacts, leads, opportunities and activities and be able to analyse data to advance conversations with commissioners and stakeholders.
- Use data skills and working with Strategic Commercial Manager (SCM) to create compelling narrative underpinned with high-quality business cases for commissioners that secure new logo service contracts and support renewals.
- Support contract negotiation, on boarding and service mobilisation with successful handover to Customer Success Managers (CSMs).
- Work as a key member of the B2G commercial team, actively contributing to new campaigns to drive forward new sales and promoting Kooth’s services at forums and presenting at regional events.
- Read, understand and influence mental health strategy reports, CYP & Adult plans, developments in the field of young people/adults and mental health and having a clear grasp of the agenda driving our customers/commissioners. Then feeding back to the Head of Business Development, senior management team and locality managers ensuring what is delivered is effective, relevant and innovative.
- Undertake any requests made by the Senior Kooth Leadership Team that are relevant to the post.

- Ability to meet sales and renewals targets and evidence of working in a team to develop and implement business growth strategies and campaigns
- Ability to positively manage client relationships within a complex matrix stakeholder environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within own, and other regional Business Development and Customer Success teams as well as internal departments to ensure information and work flow is optimised
- Ability to network, liaise and hold senior level relationships with the most important partner agencies either statutory, independent and charitable organisations together with ICS lead
- Ability to develop and deliver customer success presentations and sales pitches to audiences of commissioners, providers and stakeholders including young people and adult cohorts
- Ability to forecast, report and record effectively and accurately in a consistent and timely way using SalesForce
- Work in a way that engages positively with issues of diversity and difference.
- Strong skill set in Microsoft
Requirements:
- A track record of building and maintaining effective and complex client and stakeholder relationships
- Proven experience of working with public sector commissioners to successfully identify and nurture new sales opportunities, turning them into service contracts, working with customer success teams to retain and grow these contracts
- Proven experience negotiating with NHS & Local Authority commissioners and gaining stakeholder consensus that have led to significant contracts
- Proven experience of working in partnership with commissioners and providers to successfully redesign services and develop new solutions
- Knowledge and understanding of health and social inequalities and the impact this can have on children, young people and adult’s mental health
- Knowledge and understanding of the changing in commissioning landscape and the impact on mental health and social care services
