Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.
With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.
In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.
This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

* This role is not a donor-facing role but sits within the newly created Partnerships and Philanthropy Operations team that provides the back-of-house systems, processes, content and support to enable donor-facing colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively.
* We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London hub near Tower Hill at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays). We are looking for Senior Supporter Acquisition Manager to join our Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes and to achieve the growth ambitions of our Fundraising strategy.
The Supporter Acquisition team is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media. We are looking for someone to join us who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.
The role involves managing an experienced team of two managers and a co-ordinator, and leading relationships with a number of suppliers. The marketing programmes currently include face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or at expos/outdoor events), DRTV and other forms of advertising, print – door drops/partially addressed mail/inserts and payroll giving. An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.

About the role
Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.
The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.
This will span three main projects:
· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);
· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and
· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.
Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.
Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.
You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.
This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.
Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

Job summary
Malaria No More UK are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to support the Head of Communications on the leadership, planning and delivery of MNMUK’s media strategy to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and drive support for our cause. This role will support MNMUK’s campaigning and activity in the UK and internationally, working across the organisation and working closely with colleagues leading our advocacy, government relations, political campaigning and partnerships work. This role will also support MNMUK’s corporate communications work, specifically copywriting our core organisational materials, including board & annual reports.
Key responsibilities
Communications:
- Lead and deliver Malaria No More UK’s media strategy, including relationship building with media outlets, journalists and influencers to drive tactical, political and news media coverage.
- Lead on the development and management of pro or low bono partnerships with UK and global media organisations.
- Produce written media materials such as press releases, Q&As and spokesperson briefings.
- Lead and develop MNMUK’s corporate and campaign written materials such as donor reports, annual & board reports, fundraising applications and website copy, ensuring that we have a consistent and powerful style that aligns with our brand, values and creative content approach.
- Advise and support on media activity in other markets, including Kenya.
- Source and manage spokespeople for media and communications opportunities, working closely with our Head of Ambassador Relations & Creative Partnerships and our Strategic Communications and Engagement Manager.
- Support MNMUK’s Philanthropy and Partnerships team with media and communication support for our corporate partners, institutional donors, and philanthropic foundation partners, including monitoring partner media, developing joint communications, and representing the communications team at partner meetings.
- Act as a key representative of the MNMUK communications team in meetings and planning for our UK campaigning, ensuring other members of the communications team are brought in to support when needed.
