Can you stop people scrolling on social media? We’re looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual with a passion for social media and experience working across accounts with high volumes of user engagement.
You’ll work as part of a team to manage our day-to-day social media activity, creating compelling content across key channels, providing great community management and working across the organisations to ensure social is being used effectively.
You will help reach team, campaign and organisation-wide goals, ensuring that we take a data and impact-driven approach to activity.
You’ll be identifying and telling stories from people living with dementia through great social content, helping to spot relevant trends and opportunities to maximise engagement, and finding creative ways to demonstrate both the impact of dementia, and also the hope we can give through support, campaigning and research.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities
- Create and edit compelling and innovative social media content optimised against a range of objectives, including the production of graphics and video
- Work closely with cross-directorate teams to develop and implement impactful social campaign strategies, ensuring appropriate messaging and content for specific audiences, channels and placements
- Provide full community management across channels on a rota
- Work with people living with dementia to champion their voices through powerful storytelling
- Support the Senior Social Media Manager to embed social media strategy
- Develop and deliver guidance and training to colleagues across all areas relevant to successful social activity, ensuring information is easy to understand for a non-digital audience
- Run paid social activity aligning with strategic team objectives and manage associated budgets
- Use analytics tools to report back on the performance of day-to-day and campaign-focused social activity, making recommendations to address gaps and optimise performance
- Identify trends and develop insights into user activity from relevant data sources to inform our ongoing approach

About you
- Knowledge and experience on creating channel and audience-specific content that maximises user engagement.

- You’ll be confident in creating a range of impactful visual assets (graphics, video, photo), and really understand how to get the best results in each placement.
- You’ll be a great communicator with the ability to tell a great story via social content, adept at writing engaging copy, but also able to manage sensitive conversations on social.
- Have great interpersonal skills are also key to allow you to develop great relationships with internal teams, and to work closely with people affected by dementia.
- Whether it’s a person with the condition themselves, a carer or someone that’s lost a loved one, you’ll be able to bring their experiences and stories to life through our channels.
- Have a particular interest in using analytics tools to drive performance through data and insight is essential.
- You’ll be confident creating reports that align with strategic objectives and demonstrate business impact.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Communications Officer role:
As Senior Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be a creative, agile and impactful professional, who will play a pivotal role in shaping Women’s Aid’s communications campaigns, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Media, Brand and Relationships. The successful candidate will take the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for Women’s Aid communications – including major campaign moments and brand awareness. Working across all external channels, including traditional media and social media, you will curate compelling stories that build our profile and target key audiences in our mission to keep women and children safe from domestic abuse. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we mark our 50th Birthday with some powerful campaigns and engagement.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer:

To be the key communications officer representing the communications team, developing the key messaging of external campaigns, brand-building and communications for the organisation and developing public awareness of these.

To lead on planning, drafting and implementing a communications plan for Women’s Aid key communications campaigns such as International Women’s Day, 16 Days, as well as wider organisational projects, incorporating press and social media and providing media support as required.

To develop relevant media and social media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

To work with colleagues to ensure the campaigns take an intersectional approach and centres the most marginalised voices.

To work with a diverse range of survivor case studies and media spokespeople, including Women’s Aid member organisations, and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

To help identify both proactive and reactive media opportunities.

To write blogs, news articles and promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

To proof and typeset publications as required.

What we are looking for in our Senior Communications Officer:

At least two years experience working in communications/journalism/publications or similar.

Experience of liaising with a variety of individuals and organisations of all seniorities, internally and externally.

Experience of maintaining systems for information storage and retrieval.

Experience of online communications/websites/social media, including Content Management Systems.

Experience delivering public-facing campaigns with a range of stakeholders.

This is an exciting time to join the Involve team. Alongside increasing public and political interest in our approaches, we are increasing the size and impact of our project work. We have a couple of new multifaceted projects which need really effective and agile project management. As a Senior Project Officer you will contribute to all aspects of our delivery, with a particular focus on project and programme management of larger projects. Your main focus will be on:

This Senior Project Officer role sits in our Innovation and Practice Function. Our team’s daily work includes setting up, managing, designing, delivering and reporting on a wide range of participatory and deliberative processes, ranging from small scale, hyper-local community engagements to large, national, multi-event Citizens’ Assemblies and longer term projects. Our processes can be face to face, hybrid, or online, and often involve bringing together different groups from within the public with interested parties and experts from across government, business , academia and civil society.
In addition, you would work closely with our Capacity Building and Standards team to support their work helping others to deliver these approaches and contribute to our communications and advocacy work. You will also support fundraising for grants and projects, responding to tenders and writing proposals and building relationships with our funders, collaborators and clients.
We are looking for an excellent project manager, able to manage fairly large projects and task manage others at all levels to ensure smooth delivery. You will be great at managing relationships at all levels and working with others to get things done. Given the nature of our work we are also looking for public participation skills, or relevant or transferable expertise and an understanding of deliberative practice. That will enable you to design and deliver project management, and support facilitation that fits our work and enables you to contribute to advising our clients on designing and delivering effective engagement. It is critical that you are open to new ideas, a good team player, committed to shifting power and addressing inequities in our society and that you are passionate about furthering our vision. Experience of building project management capacity, fundraising and staff management is desirable.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.
You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Acting as the lead contact for Hope for the Future’s network of partner organisations growing HFTF’s paid partnership work

Other responsibilities

Regularly travel around the country to workshops and meetings and to the head office in Sheffield.

Networking to seek new partners and clients for the purpose of acquiring new training requests and potential collaborative work (paid partnerships)

Representing the organisation at events,conferences, and partnership meetings and in external communications

Continually championing the values, mission and vision of Hope for the Future to strengthen democratic engagement and drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

Maintain an awareness of advances in the climate and nature movement and national/ local politics.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of climate change developments in Parliament, including changes to policy and specific MP involvement in such developments.

Minimum 2 - 3 years in a management, leadership or operational delivery role within a not-for-profit, NGO, social enterprise, charity or similar organisation.

Experience and success in leading, supporting, motivating and managing and coordinating a team to work towards delivering an organisation's strategic goals

Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with external organisations.

A strong working knowledge of the UK political system and with national and local political structures and processes

Experience of working with elected representatives

Experience of delivering, monitoring and evaluating effective community engagement campaigns / outreach work

Experience of designing and facilitating workshops, trainings, both online and in-person

The Head of Finance and Procurement will report to and work closely with the Director of Enabling Services leading the Finance Team. This team is highly competent, reliable, and experienced in what they do. A Senior Leadership role supporting the Chief Executive and Directors to lead, plan and implement the College’s agreed strategic priorities, ensuring products are fit for purpose and have the greatest overall benefit for end-users in policing.
The key responsibilities of the Head of Finance and Procurement will be:
- Engage, build and influence relationships with internal and external stakeholders providing strategic vision, leadership and accountability. Evaluate the impact of College policy, products and services to understand stakeholder impact and contribution to the College’s agreed strategic priorities Champion the efficient use of College resources and budgets
- Develop transformational strategy, policy and proposals to deliver the organisation’s agreed strategic priorities, utilising research and best evidence to apply rigour and challenge.
- Lead financial and procurement strategies and planning for the organisation, making appropriate and timely recommendations to the Executive and College Board
- Lead the overall management of day-to-day internal financial controls and assets including the detection and monitoring of fraud, and financial risk management
- Identify, analyse and manage strategic risks proactively, reporting, escalating and putting in place mitigation as appropriate and ensuring all risk assessment is timely, proportionate and balanced with the operational realities and requirements of policing
- Develop, lead and performance manage individuals through line management and/or matrix management arrangements as required, ensuring adequate resourcing is planned to meet objectives and that project and programme management disciplines support the delivery of key initiatives
The successful Head of Finance and Procurement will have:
- You must be ACCA, CIMA or ACA fully qualified finance professional
- Strong ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and work collaboratively to achieve objectives
- You will have led a team or teams during your career
- Strong ability to effectively challenge and influence others, including more senior colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure the right outcome is achieved
- You will have experience of managing budgets and forecasts, dealing with external stakeholders (such as internal and external audit), and have been involved in risk management and performance management
- Able to communicate with, engage and inspire others at all levels
