The Marketing and Communications Department
Battersea’s Marketing & Communications department is responsible for communicating the breadth of the organisation’s work in an engaging and memorable way. Though our award-winning campaigns, we use our influence to affect change for dogs and cats within and beyond our gates; building Battersea’s reputation on a national and international scale. The Performance Analyst plays a key role at Look Ahead, by producing reporting and data analysis which enables the organisation to deliver on its strategic plan of improving the service we deliver to our customers.

Two roles are based in the Improvement Analytics Unit, which specialises in robust quantitative evaluations of health and care interventions. The third role is based in the Core Analytics Team, which produces innovative analysis and evidence to support the Health Foundation’s strategic priorities.

To be successful as the Senior Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG higher level qualification.
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Role Requirements
• Act as a trusted, technical specialist for our business systems, by developing a comprehensive and rigorous knowledge-base of the software architecture, whilst overseeing its maintenance and ensuring the department (and by extension, the organisation) benefits from its full capabilities.
• Ensure that processes are automated (as far as reasonably practicable) and that business systems are fit for purpose, with technical requirements delivered in a timely manner.
• Ensure that technical and procedural processes are in place to guarantee data quality and integrity, by utilising single sources of truth and streamlining database queries.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of both regulatory requirements and daily operational practices, to ensure effective, efficient and compliant business systems.
• Manage and maintain day-to-day management of the business systems and the data held within them, working with the Business System Administrator and the system superusers.
• Act as the primary liaison between business system vendors and The Children’s Trust; regularly liaising to ensure continued development (in order to meet organisational needs) and utilise/attend relevant user groups and forums, to remain up-to-date with system developments.
• Identify, develop and implement any required staff training/coaching, through the delivery of training sessions/workshops and the production of any necessary training manuals/resources, to increase staff’s technical skillset and ensure that they are able to support the required technologies.
• Proactively liaise and communicate with departments across the organisation, to ensure that constructive feedback is received, and information needs are met in a timely manner.
• Develop and review policies and procedures impacted by the implementation of any new system developments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external venders to ensure the requirements of the business system owners are being met
• Raise issues on behalf of business system owners and users and work with external providers to ensure issues are resolved.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Role Requirements
You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees from time to time to present on risk and assurance. With experience of delivering 2nd line risk and assurance activities within large, complex or heavily regulated organisation, you will be effective in building professional relationships and influencing and collaborating with colleagues from all disciplines and at all levels.
You will need to engage effectively with frontline and support colleagues to really understand the needs of our beneficiaries and the risks to the charity more broadly. The ultimate objective of risk management at The Children’s Trust is to ensure the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe and effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term.
Although the role does not have any formal direct reports, the Risk & Assurance Analyst will have a dotted line into the Risk & Assurance Manager, providing support particularly on business continuity but also on risk management as and when necessary.

We are hiring a Senior AI Scientist to support the company in delivering its mission of improving the lives of patients by transforming research into mental illness and dementia. The company is working in this highly innovative area to accelerate the development of new treatments, improve healthcare services, and advance our understanding of complex, debilitating conditions like Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Alzheimer’s disease.
To do this, we curate a globally unique dataset of more than 4.6 million patients’ anonymised psychiatric electronic health records (EHRs) for research use. A crucial part of our curation process is the application of AI-enable natural language processing algorithms to structure the free text elements of the EHR (clinical notes, letters, reports etc). Development of these NLP models is the primary focus of our in-house AI team, in which this role sits.
The AI Team are primarily responsible for developing and training the Natural Language Processing models that underpin Akrivia’s data structuring pipeline. The goal of this activity is to develop accurate, clinically valid, explainable, and scalable NLP models to extract new structured data from EHR free-text fields. The AI Team collaborate closely with the Research Team (to match the outputs of their models to research needs), the Engineering Team (to embed their models into Akrivia’s data processing pipeline), and with the Client Engagement team (to help platform users apply their model outputs effectively). The AI Team also carry out exploratory research to develop new applications of AI for improving mental health research and treatment.
The role will require strong technical skills with a focus on artificial intelligence approaches to natural language processing. A successful candidate will work on developing our existing technology solutions, develop novel applications of AI to solve challenges in the mental health space, and support our users in industry, academia and the NHS to apply our AI-derived data for their own research programs. Qualifications
· Strong project management skills.
· Excellent writing and editing skills with proven ability to translate complex concepts into succinct, clear, accessible language for multiple audiences.
· Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Box.
· Knowledge of Asana, Google systems (Drive and Sites) as well as Salesforce.
· Excellent research and analytical skills.
· Demonstrates ability to work individually, as part of a team, and with individuals of diverse backgrounds who are part of the climate change conversation.
· Ability to make decisions independently and work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Introduction to the role
This role will ensure that we are developing and deepening our partnerships. The main purpose will be to nurture our existing partnerships as well as assist in writing bids that are effective, well costed, realistic and in line business needs and values.
This role will work closely with the Funding and New Partnerships Manager, business development and delivery colleagues to ensure that TAWS optimises opportunities within the West Midlands as well as across the breadth of the current and future delivery range.
You will report into the Funding and New Partnerships Manager working closely with internal colleagues such as CEO/ business development colleagues/ comms colleagues/ and delivery teams in West Midlands
Main duties
- Act as the main liaison for partners, cultivating long-term relationships founded on trust, transparency, and mutual value.
- Identify and grow effective strong relationships with new and existing partners ensuring sustained engagement, based on a clear knowledge and understanding of the business horizons in new and also existing business areas. Supporting the development of new business and securing successful funding pitches.
- Collaborate closely with partners to understand their goals, interests, and expectations, crafting customised partnership strategies to effectively address their needs and aspirations.
- Ensure existing funding relationships are positively maintained, and relationships with commissioners are effectively managed, undertaking high-level representation when required
- Ensure that partnership proposals are aligned with partner priorities and funding criteria, effectively communicating the impact and value of our programs and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of ideas and strategies for growth and impact within the fundraising team.
- Work with the Funding and New Partnerships Manager and the data analyst to track, analyse and report on fundraising results in the partnership income stream and measure, manage and report performance against agreed metrics.
- Develop and conduct effective business pitches to key decision makers and ensure that they are kept relevant by relevant reviews and updates
- Ensure funding perspectives are integrated into programme-level strategic plans
- Support the organisation to realise its income targets
- Work with colleagues to ensure effective grant management
- Ensure evaluation and insight is used effectively in reporting internally, to funders, partners and to stakeholders
- Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the key policy areas relevant to our work, including work across all of our delivery areas and ensure an up-to-date knowledge of funding issues, patterns and opportunities
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Developing and deepening partnerships, collaborations and networking, horizon scanning, strategic positioning and developing collaborations;
- Overseeing the analysis and further development of existing business
- Project management, including design and development, planning, resource allocation, time, budget and risk management and evaluation of impact and outcomes.
- Working in community development and previous experience of delivering high quality interventions, ideally in deprived community settings.
- Line- managing and developing teams to deliver against programme objectives and to achieve their full potential, preferably in the field of community development work.
- Influencing and matrix management would be preferable
- Leadership ability, with the confidence and skill to influence and persuade others across multiple disciplines and arenas.
- Encouraging diverse communities to come together - building trust and participation.
- Working with a range of stakeholders with the ability to influence and persuade others
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment and able to prioritise work under pressure and adapt to new models of working
- Excellent communicator, track record of establishing and developing strong partnerships with external organisations including statutory, charity and voluntary.
- Experience as a leader in a fundraising environment with strong partnership, managerial and leadership skills
- Ability to research and do horizon scanning
- Ability to write compelling bids and support the bid writing team when necessary
- Experience of developing and delivering on fundraising strategies
- Record in confidently developing networks, building alliances, nurturing ideas and relationships with individuals
- Involvement in at least one of the following: public sector commissioning, institutional/statutory grants, trusts and foundations or commercial bids.
- Experience of planning and managing budgets
- Must be able to work collaboratively internally and externally within the business setting
- Must have clear understanding of the challenges of this business sector
