Who we are.
The Orchard Project brings orchards into the heart of urban communities, along with the many benefits they provide: environmental, physical, mental, social, and educational. They are the only national charity dedicated to the creation, restoration and celebration of community orchards.

The Orchard Project’s mission is to reverse this decline and ensure everyone in cities across the UK is within easy reach of a thriving community orchard.
They also provide accredited horticultural courses and training with a view to increasing employment and representation amongst marginalised communities and host events and activities centred around orchards to improve community cohesion.

St Werburghs City Farm is an inner-city community hub for land-based opportunities. We understand the importance that green space has for our collective health and wellbeing, which is why all our work is based on strengthening the connections between land, animals and people. We know that enjoyment of green space, access to local food, and opportunities in the agricultural sector are not equal, and we are committed to addressing this imbalance in our work. We appreciate that everyone has skills, experience and assets to share, which is why we base our approach on co-design and delivery with and for our community. We target our work at those experiencing mental ill-health, disadvantage and/or marginalisation.
