This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. About the Role:
Victim Support (VS) is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people who have been affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Understanding the experience and needs of victims and witnesses of crime is central to the charities' aims and vision.
As a Research & Lived Experience Officer you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve the experience of victims in the criminal justice system. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.
You will have the opportunity to recruit participants and manage a Lived Experience Engagement Forum, and to regularly engage, build and maintain close relationships with the forum's participants. You will also need to conduct workshops/focus groups to collect feedback and insights from the participants on various products and procedures, and produce summaries of this feedback.
To be successful in the role you will need to have proven experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting workshops or focus groups and interviews. Experience in writing and analysing surveys is an advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime is desirable, but not essential.

What we are looking for in our Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer:

Proven experience of successful fundraising from Corporate supporters, major & mid level donors and Trusts.

Experience of acquiring and managing corporate Charity of the Year partnerships.
-
Demonstrable initiative and determination.
-
Line management experience.

Experience of writing reports on activities, summarising and analysing figures to make recommendations using Word, Excel and databases.

Experience of managing events for high level donors.

Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective corporate partners and major donors.

Experience of developing a strategy to meet targets.
-
Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
-
A flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels, on the telephone, face to face and in writing, and confident making presentations to diverse audiences.

Ability to monitor and evaluate patterns of support and match appropriate project proposals.

Experience of working within agreed budget constraints, ensuring that expenditure is maintained within budgets, and that income is closely monitored.

Experience of compiling budgets for funders.

Good knowledge of the funding landscape and of best practice in multiple areas of fundraising (corporate, trusts and foundations, and major donor).

Experience of using a CRM database, preferably Raiser’s Edge.

Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours as required.

Understanding of the role of Women’s Aid, of domestic abuse and the issues relating including the impacts on women and children.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised individual, in a supporting role to the HR and Learning & Development Manager. The role will assist with day to day operational tasks, providing managers and staff with effective administrative support in all aspects of Human Resources.
You will provide HR generalist administrative support for the full employee lifecycle, as well as support with the end-to-end recruitment cycle in line with The Churches Conservation Trust’s policies and procedures, best practice and legal requirements. You will assist with the provision of training and development of staff ensuring compliance with mandatory training.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work as part of a small team, whilst also independently and proactively completing tasks. Excellent communication and IT skills, accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements.
