All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this net zero plan. The Giving Directorate is leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments. In addition, The Giving Directorate and NetZero Programme Team will be engaging with funders at a national level to secure investment for projects.

In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. In 2023 The Giving Directorate piloted Give To Go Green, a parish match-funding grant scheme that will grow in 2024 to help 300 more churches with over £1m in grants towards carbon-cutting projects.

As Net Zero Fundraising Project Officer, you will work in The Giving Directorate to support the National Fundraising Advisor to deliver a strategy that enables dioceses and churches to secure funds for carbon cutting projects. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country.

Job summary:

You will provide administrative support to the national fundraising workstream and the Give to Go Green match funding campaign. With a range of projects and fundraising initiatives, the post holder will work collaboratively within The Giving Directorate and with the Net Zero programme team, with diocesan colleagues and with church volunteers.

Main responsibilities

Sharing Best Practice:

• Coordinating the sharing of funding opportunities, case studies and training materials across the Church of England.
• Developing, improving and maintaining national fundraising resources for Net Zero Carbon projects, including web resources
• Updating the National List of Church Funders.
• Gathering fundraising case studies and sharing with Net Zero Communications & Engagement Coordinator.
• Responding to diocesan and parish queries about funding opportunities.

Supporting Grant Making:

• Supporting on the fundraising side of the Give To Go Green parish match funding project which may include acting as the primary point of contact for churches participating and advising on fundraising, reporting on income raised in parish fundraising campaigns, developing and improving resources, issuing grant agreements, and setting up meetings and webinars as required.

Project Administration:

• Collating reports, researching prospective donors and sharing information with key National Church Institutions (NCIs) stakeholders to support national fundraising workstream.
• Providing administration for national fundraising workstream by organising internal and external meetings.
• Providing administrative support for training events, webinars and conferences.
  
  

Experience

Essential:

• Experience of fundraising or encouraging giving in a paid capacity
• Experience of working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams across departments in a complex organisation.

Desirable:

• Previous experience of working in a customer-service support function.
• Experience in planning, seeking and applying for funding from grant makers.
• Experience of working within the Church sector, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, ideally in relation to giving, fundraising, or church finances.
• Experience working in the environment/low-carbon/sustainability sector.

About On Your Side

On Your Side is the UK-wide support and reporting service for East and Southeast Asian communities who experience racism and/or any forms of hate.

Launched in August 2022, the service includes a 24/7 freephone helpline available in East and Southeast Asian languages; a website with reporting forms and resources; and ongoing community-based support delivered by trained casework advocates. We work to ensure that those who  experience racism and/or hate have access to the highest levels of culturally competent support while building a better picture of the nature and range of incidents so they can be better prevented.

Funded by the UK Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities, On Your Side is delivered by a consortium of 9 organisations including East and Southeast Asian led community groups alongside national hate crime reporting and hate crime prevention organisations. This role will be based at the consortium lead organisation, identity-based violence prevention charity Protection Approaches.

About the role

Based at Protection Approaches, the Project Officer will report directly to the On Your Side Project Manager, and work closely with Protection Approaches’ team, On Your Side Casework Coordinator, Outreach Officer, and all consortium partners.

This is a new and exciting role that will be central to the delivery and development of the On Your Side service as it moves into a new phase over the next 12 months as an established, sustainable service.

In this role the Project Officer will develop their project management skills as they work with the Project Manager on overall coordination of the On Your Side service including coordination of the project delivery team across partner organisations to ensure they are meeting agreed objectives to agreed timelines.

You will oversee several distinct areas of work including overseeing the strategy and work of the On Your Side Outreach Officer in developing and implementing new engagement, outreach, communications and public education strategies. You will also oversee the publishing of a quarterly data report, and ensuring data is being recorded appropriately and accurately.

You will represent the service at high profile meetings and events including meeting with current and future funders, representatives from national and local government, other policy-makers, police and, academic experts to build the profile of the service, improve its support methodologies and impact, and assist in the development and implementation of sustainability and fundraising plans for the service.

You will be trained by the Protection Approaches Outreach team on delivery of hate crime workshops, and other trainings and use those skills to deliver awareness sessions for On Your Side, raising awareness of the service and it’s benefits while supporting ESEA community members to better understand their rights and how they can tackle racism and hate.

The role is a 12-month fixed term contract. During this period we expect to secure additional resources to ensure the ongoing delivery of this service and extend the role of Project Officer.

The successful candidate will:

• Assist the Project Manager in overall coordination of the On Your Side service including coordination of the project delivery team across partner organisations to ensure they are meeting agreed objectives to agreed timelines
• Oversee the work and strategy of the On Your Side Outreach Officer to develop and implement engagement, outreach, and public education strategies to increase knowledge about the service and use of the service

End Violence and Racism Against East and Southeast Asian Communities (EVR)

End Violence and Racism Against East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) Communities (known as EVR) is an intergenerational organization whose mission is to prevent and address structural racism and inequality affecting ESEA communities in the UK. This is in the context of rising racism and discrimination towards all minoritised groups, with whom we seek to build allyship and solidarity.

We started out as a grassroots organisation during the Covid pandemic in 2020, in order to respond to the high level of racism experienced by people of ESEA ethnic origin. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. Job Description

Fundraising

• Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.
• Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.
• Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs.
• Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising.
• Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.
• Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.
• Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
• Ensure that our new Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, Raiser’s Edge NXT, is used effectively and to its full potential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Engagement & Marketing Director role was created last year to drive forward our next strategic phase of engagement – determining how we influence, engage and mobilise people and communities to plant and protect urban trees. The maternity cover will continue to work closely with the senior team to finalise the engagement strategy and implement from 2025. The maternity cover will lead our Engagement & Marketing team to drive awareness and understanding of the importance of urban trees, deepening our connections with urban communities, growing our communications reach to engage target audiences, and boosting our Individual Giving programmes linked to regular giving, payroll giving and legacies.

The successful candidate will be a proven community engagement professional with senior-level marketing experience, a demonstrable track record of team leadership and experience of developing and delivering against strategic objectives. You will be credible and comfortable operating at senior levels with third sector stakeholders as well as grassroots communities.

 Business Manager - P/T– 26 hours per week

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

· Strategic development skills.

· Health, wellbeing, and disability experience within the sector would be ideal.

· Marketing experience; organisational promotion, digital, social media, website and branding. Health service marketing would be an advantage.

· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with good disability awareness.

Education Programmes and Partnerships Lead

The organisation has received an exciting round of funding that is allowing it to offer training and resources for free to schools in Bradford.

We are looking for a creative and driven individual who is passionate about the power of stories to improve children’s wellbeing and has a good understanding of children’s wellbeing and literacy.

Position: Education Lead

Location: Remote (frequent travel to support schools in Bradford, so you must live within a commutable distance of the area)

Hours: Full time (possibility to negotiate a flexible contract such as 4 day a week role or term-time working)

Salary: £33,500 - £40,000 per annum pro rata dependent on experience

Contract: Fixed term until summer 2026, with the possibility of extension if further funding is secured

Benefits: 5% pension contribution, 27 days holiday (rising by 1 day per year of employment) plus bank holidays.

The Role

You will be joining a social enterprise that provides teachers with training and resources so they can use popular, diverse and engaging stories to teach children skills that will help improve their wellbeing whilst enhancing their literacy.

This is a small organisation, so we are looking for someone who is excited about the job description, but who is also interested in learning more about all aspects of running a social enterprise and keen to support the strategy and growth beyond their job role.

Key responsibilities include:

Story Project Training and School Partnerships

· Effectively represent and promote the organisation to school leaders, teachers and other stakeholders.

· Ensure a smooth initial launch of the Project in every school.

· Organise and conduct training for schools.

· Through regular visits to and network meetings with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed.

· Proactively monitor school’s adherence/fidelity to the organisations model, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise.

· As a new school year approaches, secure commitments from returning schools and find and target new schools to join the programme

Story Project Programme Development

· Oversee the curriculum, making sure resources are up to date.

· Make changes to the curriculum and resources based on feedback from schools.

· Oversee the creation of new resources on topics that can further support children’s wellbeing.

About You

You will be passionate about all aspects of running a social enterprise and keen to support the strategy and growth beyond your own job. You will have experience of providing engaging and impactful training sessions, with a creative approach to planning resources. A highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, you will have a proven track record of leading projects in education or a related field and experience of building effective relationships and stakeholder management.

You will also have/be:

· Strength in both written and verbal communication

· Proven ability to work independently

· Self-starter and quick learner

· Ability to adapt and embrace a changing environment

· Ability to drive and access to a car for work purposes
