Age UK Lewisham and Southwark is looking for a Director of Services to oversee the delivery of our Lewisham-focused services: Community Connections (social prescribing), Community Development, Befriending and Community Transport.
Although the post holder will be working for Age UK Lewisham and Southwark, the teams they manage will support adults of all ages from 18+
The successful candidate will oversee an amazing team and work closely with partners across the health, social care, and voluntary sectors to ensure that isolated Lewisham residents get high quality services that enable them to find local groups that meet their needs, break down barriers to access and provide support from well trained and caring volunteers.

Title Investigations Officer
Location: This post is based in our Central London office; however, ARB supports a flexible approach to hybrid working in the office and remotely
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Starting at £27,000 per annum
The focus for this role will be investigating complaints and queries about misuse of the title “architect” and with matters which arise from incorrect “architect” listings in directories, advertisements and websites; instructing ARB’s solicitors in prosecuting cases in the magistrates’ court, drafting press releases following criminal prosecutions, attending court to give evidence as and when required, producing statistics on ARB’s title regulation work, and assisting with the development of professional standards policy, procedures and guidance.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, highly developed administrative, and organisational skills. You will be a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver work to deadlines.
It would be desirable if you have previous experience in professional regulation and casework but not a requirement.

International Officer

An ideal candidate would be looking to build and develop their existing administrative skills. The main role responsibilities are:
- Providing administrative support and information gathering processes associated with the development and monitoring of ARB’s international agreements.
- Organising and supporting our international meetings
- Developing systems and process which enable ARB to track its international agreements.
- Assisting with the production of general management information about ARB’s international agreements.
- Assisting with policy development in relation to international routes and the provision of information to ARB’s Board.
- Dealing with correspondence and queries relating to ARB’s international routes to registration.
- Assisting with the general throughput of work in the Governance and International Team as necessary.
- Liaising with partner and potential partner organisations.
- Ensuring that ARB’s international website pages are maintained and remain up to date.
- Ensuring that all confidential and sensitive matters are handled with discretion.
- Assisting within the office to meet demands of throughput of work, as necessary.
We’re looking for someone with experience of working within a professional office environment. You will have experience of analysing data, report writing, planning and organising meetings, writing minutes and minute notes. You will be able to use Microsoft Office package effectively as well as electronic Board pack software and databases. This role can be fast paced at times and deals with communicating with internal and external stakeholders and colleagues.

Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse (Band 6)

Are you looking to provide holistic, family-centred, quality care? Are you an RNC or RNA/RNLD with paediatric experience looking to work on a one to one care basis and build your experience in palliative and end of life care? We are recruiting for Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse (Band 6) to help lead and be part of our Care team at our peaceful, woodland hospice.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work in partnership with hospitals and community nursing teams to deliver care to a range of children and young people with a variety of complex health conditions. As well as providing clinical care, you will also develop play and recreational activities to provide appropriate stimulation to the children in your care. We will support you in your learning and development and there is the potential to gain experience in outreach work.
As a Senior Nurse you will be a team leader to a small group of nurses and HCAs (Play and Care Workers), taking responsibility for line management. You will lead your team in acting as key workers to a small caseload of service users and act in a link role allocated to the team, for example Infection Control or Clinical Audits. You will be managing shifts, providing leadership to the team to ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with Richard House policies and procedures.
We’re looking for someone who is empathetic and resilient, can work under pressure, and can communicate sensitively with our families and colleagues. Experience managing junior nurses and leading shifts is essential. It would also be great if you have a mentorship qualification and experience dealing with children with challenging behaviour.
Based in the multi-cultural borough of Newham, we operate a vital 24/7 service. Shifts are 11.5 hours across weekdays and weekends. We require applicants to be available to work weekday shifts as well as weeknights, weekends and bank holidays.
Richard House is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
