The Organisation

We believe good evidence and effective implementation have the power to solve our most pressing social problems. We are passionate about using our expertise to work with policy makers, practitioners and organisational leaders and funders to effectively use evidence to change lives for the better. We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation motivated by our mission to improve the lives of children, families and communities facing adversity. Our work can be summarised in four key areas:

  • Generating evidence that contributes to the design of effective policies and programs.
  • Translating and disseminating high-quality evidence to support evidence-informed policymaking, thereby promoting policy and service decisions that have the best chance of succeeding.
  • Using the science of implementation to build the capacity of organisations to effectively deliver high-quality services.
  • Increasing the effectiveness of policy and services through rigorous evaluation.

CEI works across a range of health and social sectors including child and family welfare, mental health, ageing, housing, education, and international development. CEI has grown rapidly since its inception in late 2015 and has offices in Australia (Sydney and Melbourne), Singapore and London.

What’s in it for you:

Are you looking for a new challenge and want to join a successful and growing organisation dedicated to creating lasting and effective social change? Do you have a passion for improving services and policies for disadvantaged communities? If so, we want to hear from you.

  • Join a growing organisation and work with a dynamic international team, located in London, Australia, and Singapore
  • A career that is purpose driven and flexible in a supportive, agile, and positive environment
  • Excellent working conditions, including an additional week of company leave time
  • Salary £26,000-35,000 based on experience
  • 2-year contract

The Role:

The UK based Project Officer / Executive Assistant role is a newly created position, reporting to the UK Director, to support CEI’s rapidly growing UK team.  As a key member of the UK team the Project Officer / Executive Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the UK Director and to the UK team, spanning project support, setting up and managing systems and processes, Executive Assistant support and supporting staff recruitment and HR.

This is a varied role that requires an experienced person, comfortable dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and managing competing demands, able to work with accuracy and speed, and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. As a member of a global organisation there may be occasions when work and meetings will be conducted outside regular business hours, and this role may involve working on projects and initiatives across CEI’s offices.
