FMA is looking for a proven self-starter to support our specialist casework and advisory team as Project Support Worker.
We are looking for someone who will provide support to a specialist team of money advisors and working closely with the Services Manager. The work will mainly be project based, administrative and will involve liasing directly with clients and partner organsiations.
This is an important and entry level job for someone looking to build skills, experience and knowledge about money and debt advice work.

Training and development
Fair Money Advice will provide internal and external training as appropriate. Continued professional development is fundamental to the values of Fair Money Advice in building capacity amongst its team members.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Personal debt and its consequences have an enormous affect on individuals and families alike. Fair Money Advice works with partners to provide budgeting advice and support to try and alleviate these difficulties working with individuals to prepare detailed financial statements and explore ways of maximising their income and reducing outgoings. Advisers from FMA also negotiate with creditors directly on behalf of clients and set up manageable and sustainable repayment arrangements whilst providing comprehensive casework services.
The post holder will work closely with the Senior Adviser/Technical Supervisor to provide a quality user-led service to clients, meet contractual targets and maintain quality standards.
The post holder will also be required to coach and supervise volunteers/new staff.
Reporting
The post holder will report directly to the Services Manager of Fair Money Advice
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and case management support to advisers supporting them to assist individuals face to face, via written correspondence and over telephone.
- Support Senior Adviser/ Supervisor with administrative and reporting
- Work closely with Service Manager on reporting and data audits

Coordination of Fair Money Advice Services
- Systems and Quality Control Management - ensuring that procedures and policies are fully adopted across all advice services.
- Contribute to revising and improving systems to ensure efficiency and adherence to Data Protection and other standards.
- Supervision of volunteers or junior staff – provide necessary support to carry out their work, coordinating enquiries allocation.
- Data Management- ensuring that systems and data control are in line with regulatory and funding requirements.
- Work with Service Manager on data audits and maintaining and producing regular performance / impact reports
New Product Development at Fair Money Advice
- Networking - promoting the FMA image across all local and relevant networks
- Investigation & Research – contribute towards researching and compiling reports about new and existing demand for debt advice and debt prevention services. Research and reports will be used to strengthen the FMA business case for expansion and roll out of the programme as well as strengthening business planning
Desirable Attributes
- Ability to speak a second language, or experience of working in multi cultural communities

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deal appropriately and sensitively with enquiries, by telephone, letter and email, from both clients, creditors and other organisations
- Effectively collect and update monitoring data as required
- Regular reporting on project performance/data impact
- Provide and maintain casework support to advisers, book appointments; liaise with clients, process referrals from partners or other agencies to ensure diaries are active and up-todate.
- To carry out full needs assessments for all debt advice enquiries
- Upload and log all client enquiries and case updates on to FMA case management systems.
- Help to maintain internal and external social media with relevant facts and updates as required to develop and expand FMA brand and impact effectively

About the role
We are looking for Project Workers to join our new service in Grange Road; a mixed gender 29 bed high support service providing person-centred support to clients with multiple disadvantages including mental health and substance use.
In this role you will:
- Deliver, in conjunction with other members of the team and partner agencies, support to clients with multiple support needs
- You will be carrying out comprehensive client assessments; providing clients with personalised case management support to help them be connected into specialist external services, to positively move forward in their recovery journey.

The Community Support and Insight (CSI) Team puts the 38 Degrees community of supporters in focus, by listening to and understanding their views, priorities and experiences, so that 38 Degrees can better reach and mobilise a powerful, broad community to create change and tell a compelling, story about the fairer, more respectful and sustainable country we want to become.
We lead on representing the views and real life experiences of our audiences so that supporters can be front and centre of our campaigns, and we deeply understand who is part of our community - bringing data that makes our campaigns more impactful and supporter-driven, and ensuring campaigns better resonate with our broad, representative community and beyond. We amplify these findings for use internally and externally.
The CSI Officer, reporting to the Head of CSI, delivers a full-range of activities, from providing a high quality service and experience to 38 Degrees' community of supporters and stakeholders, to collecting and reporting on relevant data and information and providing analysis of what we hear from the community of supporters and target audiences
The Officer role is responsible for making recommendations that contribute to ongoing CSI analysis and campaign decisions, using a variety of data points and channels, supporting the wider team to utilise community insights to make 38 Degrees more impactful and engaging, and to empower the 38 Degrees community. About the role:
This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Essex Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager out of our Essex team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Job Description and Person Specification - Community Support Worker - London
Salary: £26,000-£27,500
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Working hours would take place between 0900 – 1730. It is expected that the post-holder(s) will work flexibly around contracted hours to meet business requirements and deadlines.

Role Summary
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide effective and timely support to the Project Manager and extended support of mentors/mentees in the community. This will involve:
- Visiting the prison to meet mentees and mentors before release, and assisting in development of initial three-month plan.
- Assess what support the mentee has in the community (include family, partners) and what additional support is needed.
- Research what services and agencies are available in the area. Identify relevant services (including probation services) to establish and build working relationships with, especially those who can offer Education, Training and Employment opportunities for the mentees.
- Ensure mentee and mentor needs are being met in the community and supportive measures are in place.
- Facilitating and supporting the mentoring relationship within the community when the mentee is released (through the gate) attending housing, probation, job centre appointments when required; being their advocate for making a claim for benefits; attending DWP appointments; accessing drug and alcohol services etc.
- Support mentors in helping mentees improve social skills, daily living skills, such as shopping, cleaning, self-care – find services that can offer additional support to the mentee/mentor.
- Attend and participate in meetings regarding the successful rehabilitation of prisoners
- Provide support to mentors in the community.
- Support the Project Manager with recruitment and training of new volunteers when required.

Employed by Kensington and Chelsea Mind, you will work with NHS Integrated Mental Health Services and community organisations across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster to build and maintain close working relationships with colleagues, service users and professionals to deliver community-based peer support; including 1:1 peer support, peer support groups, social peer support training and workshops.
