Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working in a community setting and an understanding of impact and evaluation to take on a key role in the project, involving ongoing interaction with families and professionals.
Job Summary
As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.
You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. The Rose Vouchers Project is an integral part of the wider Family Hub team at 1st Place, so you will be working in a busy environment, with colleagues who are all as committed to providing a friendly service and positive experience for families as you are.

Person Specification:
Essential
- Experience providing services to vulnerable service users, listening and supporting in a non-judgemental way.

- The ability to build a practical plan alongside a service user and adapt approach to different circumstances and personalities.

We are looking for two Hospital Carers' Leads to join our new service supporting unpaid carers while the person they look after is in hospital or is discharged from hospital. We know that this can be a worrying and stressful time and that too often carers do not know where to turn to for information and support. Help us make sure that carers get the help and support they need, at this critical time.
You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a brand new offer for carers which seeks to increase the identification of carers within local hospitals, improve carer support during their cared for hospital stay and following their discharge from hospital.
Each Carer Lead will be based at Kings' College Hospital (Denmark Hill) or St Thomas Hospital, and will be responsible for:

Offering tailored short-term 1 to 1 support to unpaid carers, working together to develop and implement plans to help improve carers’ experiences during the hospital stay, prepare for discharge and to address carers’ own needs.

This role is based at Whitecross Studios in London. Hybrid working is available.
As an independent witness advocate you you will lead on providing pre-trial, outreach and post-trial support for witnesses; ensuring their pre and post-trial needs are assessed and a plan for support is put in place so they can attend court to give their best evidence. You will provide advocacy, support in court, and emotional/practical support around their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

London Victim and Witness Service is recruiting for 2 x DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). These roles are full-time working one-day per week in the office and the other days from home, with regular travel required to visit clients and attend meetings.
About DRIVE:
The Drive model is based on an intensive case management approach and explicitly targets high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse associated with victims who have been referred to the MARAC. The focus of this role is in increasing safety for victims-survivors, children and families, whilst those who cause harm, the perpetrators, have measures in place to disrupt abuse and change behaviour.

About the role:
This role will be part of our IDVA team in the London Victim and Witness Service. As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate your role will:
- Address the safety of victims at high risk of harm to secure their own & their chidlren's safety
- Serve as a victim's primary point of contact acting from the point of crisis to assess the level of risk, discuss the range of suitable options and develop safety plans
- Be pro-active in implementing the plans, including actions from MARAC, which address immediate safety and enable victims to protect themselves and their children, as well as longer term solutions, using sanctions and services via criminal and civil courts, housing options and other organisations
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

About the roles:
The role offers flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients when needed in Ealing.
This role is based at Whitecross Studios (Islington); however, we offer hybrid working. There will be occasional working from Perceval House (Ealing) approximately once a month and/or when meeting with clients.
As an ASB Caseworker you will provide high quality, holistic support to clients affected by Anti-Social Behaviour in the London Borough of Ealing. You will be required to attend the monthly Ealing Community ASB MARAC, held once a month.
You will act as the single point of contact for your clients offering face to face support and ensuring they receive their rights & support from external agencies. You will need experience of working in a similar setting with the ability to undertake needs and risks assessments, create appropriate support plans, and monitor the support is helping clients to cope and recover.
You will need to be able to manage a demanding workload, scheduling client appointments (may include travel) and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and to communicate effectively with a range of people both within Victim Support and with external organisations.

About the Role:
As a Group Work Practitioner, you will be delivering a range of group work courses and programmes to adults affected by crime in the Thames Valley. You will be required to manage your own caseload and work in collaboration with other service delivery staff within the Thames Valley Adult Victims Service.
We are seeking a number of Group Work Practitioners to join the service.
Funded by the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, the Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will primarily be delivered through specialist group work provision, alongside online and telephone support.
You will be confident in co facilitating the delivery of group work programmes to people with a range of different needs and will have strong empathy skills. You will need to be able to talk to groups of people and will be resilient and confident with supporting others, as well as happy to work as part of a team.
You will need to have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner. About the role:
This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working, travel will also be required to other VS offices across London. As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will:
- Conduct needs & risk assessments to ensure each CYP receives tailored support that fully meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
- Provide one-to-one support to children & young people living in families affected by domestic abuse
- Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases, providing specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
- Regularly review the assessment of risk, ensuring appropriate action is taken, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes
- Consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service

You will need:
- Direct experience of working with vulnerable children and young people
