We are looking to recruit a HOPELINE247 Manager to enable the delivery of an outstanding suicide prevention helpline, through the effective management of HOPELINE247 advisers, alongside promotion and development of the service.
What you will do:
Provide leadership, guidance, and effective line management to a team of suicide prevention advisers.
Ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered through effective quality assurance processes.
Managing staffing and resources effectively to ensure the efficient running of the helpline service.
Risk assess and provide advice and guidance to the team, in relation to safeguarding matters, in line with policy and procedures.
Provide ad hoc rota cover to support a range of clients via multi-channel communications adhering to HOPELINE247 remit at all times.
To be successful in this role you will have:
A proven track record of building and managing an effective team, supporting their development and managing their performance.
Previous experience of building, developing and managing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the community, voluntary, statutory and political settings
Previous successful experience of working in suicide prevention or mental health
Awareness of the issues around safeguarding and how these can affect young people and adults at risk.
Degree level or professional qualification in Health, Nursing, Social Work, Community Work or related discipline
Salary: Salary: £32,460 per annum (Scale point 29) progressing by increments to £35,105 per annum (Scale point 32). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.
Hours: 33 hours per week
Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 07:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week. 33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.

• To meet regularly with line manager for support, supervision, and appraisal.

About the team:
The Customer Support Centre is multi-channelled, with a mixture of inbound, outbound and email traffic which receives calls and emails for our network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK. The Customer Support Centre also receives calls for several dedicated hotlines in the organisation along with making outbound post adoption support calls. The role will involve delivering exceptional customer service on every interaction for all sorts of queries coming into the organisation.
What you need to know:
Normal hours in this role are 37.5 per week, our national Customer Support Centre is open from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am-5pm on weekends and bank holidays. Due to the nature of our operation, you will be required to work every other weekend (2 weekends per month) with some bank holiday work required.
The role is based in the Manchester Rehoming Centre with hybrid working. The successful candidate will be required to work two days a week at our Manchester office (M34 3SG) and three days remotely. Some UK travel may be required as and when needed.

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to work alongside mental health team in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 5th July 2025. This is a key role working alongside the ELFT team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to court staff, criminal justice agencies and local partners
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
- A driving license and use of a car as this is a countywide role.

About the role:
This role is based at Lancaster Police Station. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As an IDVA working on Operation Provide you will:
- Work with the Police safeguarding team to identify high risk victims of domestic abuse.
- Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services and liaise with same.
- Conduct joint visits with the police to victims who are at serious risk of harm to provide independent information about their rights and options to enable them to keep safe from harm.
- Assess their needs and develop a bespoke safety and support plan
- Provide information and advocacy around the criminal justice process
- Liaise with internal and external agencies in order to keep the victim safe from harm and address their needs.
You will need:
- IDVA accreditation and/or have considerable relevant experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse
- a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & the impact on victims & families
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- an understanding of Safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these
- theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies
- experience of partnership working
- good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
- strong crisis management skills, able to deal with difficult situations.

About the role:
This role is based at Accrington. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a MARRAC Coordinator you will:
- Work with the MARRAC Team Leader and partner agencies to contribute/support the initial assessment process
- Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services
- Provide any updates; follow up calls including immediate safety & support needs for the victims
- Attend MARRAC meetings to present the voice of the victim
- Contribute towards interventions, helping to design a multi agency safety plan to protect victims
- Complete actions & signpost to other agencies /community groups
- Contribute to review discussions on closure to MARRAC
- Maintain accurate & confidential case management records
You will need:
- experience of working with high risk victims of domestic abuse & ideally hold an IDVA accreditation
- comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & the impact on victims
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- an understand Safeguarding, & the legal responsibilities around these
- theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies
- experience of partnership working
- good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
- strong crisis management skills, able to deal with difficult situations
- good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal
- IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office & Case Management systems

About the role:
This role is a hybrid working role based in the Housing department, Merton Civic Centre.
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

The Role
As a Senior Triage Officer - Children and Young people’s Service, you will be:
- Managing a team delivering initial telephone-based support and an effective triage service to those affected by crime
- Responsible for line managing a team including recruitment, performance management and monitoring, support and guidance

About You
You will need to have the following essential skills:
- The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
- Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements
- Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults
- Knowledge and understanding of the impact of crime on those who experience it, a working knowledge of the criminal justice system
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing, coaching others.
