About London Youth
We are London Youth: a charity on a mission to support the capital’s youth sector to improve the lives of young people. We do this with and through our members – a network of 600 youth organisations – and at our two outdoor residential centres, Hindleap Warren and Woodrow High House.
Throughout our 135-year history, community youth organisations have provided a constant lifeline and a vital safe space outside the family and formal education, where young people can develop confidence, resilience and skills. Young people need opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to make a positive change in their communities and to shape the city they live in.
We look to work with all young people, focusing particularly on those who wouldn’t otherwise have access to the kind of opportunities we offer.
Last year we worked with over 28,100 young people through our sports development, employability, youth action and involvement, mental health, arts and outdoor education programmes. Our member network supported over 575,000 young Londoners. We delivered 149 training sessions to over 1,000 youth professionals.

A little bit about the role
The fundraising manager role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including, trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
We are now looking for a fundraising manager to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience across a range of fundraising areas (in particular community and events fundraising, individual giving, digital fundraising as well as corporate or major donors) to add strength to the team and allow us to pilot new fundraising initiatives.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Lead on developing our public fundraising income (individual giving/community and events fundraising), working with other teams and external agencies where suitable to increase engagement among our audiences and grow our public fundraising income.
- Work with and develop relationships with existing corporate supporters and bring on board new corporate supporters to grow income from this area, including through staff fundraising activities
- Work with other teams to develop opportunities to bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.
- Support the head of fundraising with the development of Frontline’s long-term fundraising strategy, monitoring progress towards annual revenue goals.
A little bit about you
You’ll be an enthusiastic target-driven fundraiser, with experience in building up public fundraising (including community, events and individual giving) and working towards financial targets and growing income. We’d like to see someone with strong writing skills, and are able to express creative and sometimes complex ideas in simple and effective language.
We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. There are lots of opportunities for growth and development in this role – and for the right candidate to make the role their own.
If you feel you have the skills to make a real impact and contribute to creating lasting social change for children and families, we would love to hear from you.
We have increased the diversity of Frontline’s workforce in the last 12 months, but we need to do more to have greater racialised minority representation in our senior roles. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO?
We are the UK’s student mental health charity. We challenge the higher education sector, health sector, and government to work with students when making decisions that impact them, and make them accountable for prioritising student mental health. In collaboration with students, we show sector professionals what effective student mental health looks like, and bridge the gap between students and the communities around them to ensure their voices are always heard.
By creating and curating resources, stories and tools, we empower students to build their own mental health toolkit to support themselves and their peers through university life and beyond. We want to empower and inspire students to use their voice to share their stories and advocate for themselves.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Volunteer Experience Manager to join our amazing Volunteer Engagement Team! Working in a dynamic, fast moving and fun environment, no two days will be the same.
Our goal is to simplify and enrich the volunteering experience to engage a broad audience. We have around 2,000 volunteers a year who bring a wealth of professional skills, lived experience, local knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to our work. Volunteers give their time across the charity in a wide range of roles including peer support, awareness raising, fundraising events, and research funding.
As an experienced operational and people manager, your role will be focused on making it easy to volunteer and make a meaningful contribution. You’ll oversee the volunteer journey, ensuring an excellent experience in line with the Investing in Volunteers standard. In business partnering with colleagues, you’ll act as an advisor and expert on volunteering. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility, you’ll support us to increase representation in our volunteers to reflect our DEI priorities.
You’ll act as line manager to the Volunteer Experience Team and deputise for the Head of Volunteer Engagement as well as working closely with our Community Awareness Manager.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll get to meet volunteers and supporters and see first-hand the work of Prostate Cancer UK. Together we are supporting and raising awareness of the impact of prostate cancer, providing men with the knowledge of their risk and the power to act on it.
What we want from you
To be successful in this role you’ll be an experienced, successful people manager with a strong understanding of volunteer engagement. You’ll be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment; you understand our customers are individuals and organisations with differing expectations and needs. You’ll also act with empathy and with an understanding of how prostate cancer can impact it can have on people's lives.
You’ll have an agile approach and you’ll be experienced in developing and iterating person-centred processes and systems. You’ll also need to be comfortable with resolving conflict and confident in influencing others as you work collaboratively across our organisation and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Why work with us?
Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men – prostate cancer. It’s a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year.
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We’re blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease.
Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.
Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
At Prostate Cancer UK, we believe that equity, diversity and inclusion are essential to building a strong and innovative workplace that represents, and can advocate for, the communities we support.
It’s our ambition to become an anti-racist organisation, and our mission to advance racial equity in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
We’re learning more about the needs of our colleagues and we’re excited to have recently launched three new people networks: Pride, Mind & Body and Multicultural.
