The purpose of the role
The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. We pride ourselves on providing a customer-focused, flexible, and agile service and aim to support and facilitate an open and inclusive culture where all staff can thrive.
This role is an excellent entry level role to the work of a human resources function. Working in close collaboration with colleagues to provide a full administrative support to the People Team, assisting the team in delivering a positive, proactive, and outward-facing operational HR to the National Theatre.
The primary focus of this role is the full employee lifecycle and payroll administration, recruitment administration and managing first-line HR queries in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Experience of working effectively under pressure and managing multiple priorities, with good time management skills and with accuracy and attention to detail.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of Picker's programme of events. This will include two in-person conferences with attendees from across the United Kingdom as well as regular online events during the year. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery. In this role you will:

Job Description
The role of Service Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to oversee a team of Caseworkers, ensuring that they provide first class to support, to young people who are at risk of child exploitation, or have for a time been missing from home.
This role will assist the Service Manager to establish strategic links in the area, with key partners and other stakeholders, with a view to promoting and continually enhancing the service. We are co-located within a multi-agency team, tackling missing and child exploitation, so you'll have a great opportunity to develop your networks and expertise within the sector.
The cases that we work on are complex and challenging, but are making a difference in the lives of those that access our services. We've completed over 1500 return home interviews, helping to prevent further missing episodes. We've also supported over 130 young people through a programme of direct work, tailored to their individual needs.

Zero Carbon Harrogate: Climate Action Cordinator (21 hrs a week)
Here at Zero Carbon Harrogate we continue to expand community awareness-raising and delivery of practical projects to address climate change. Due to the present incumbent resigning for personal reasons at the end of the current contract period we are now looking for a new Climate Action Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of our vision and plan. The appointment is externally funded for 12 months with a negotiable starting date from 1st May 2024.
Guided by the Management Committee, the role will include design and implementation of effective administrative and information processes, practical application of policies and procedures, coordination of internal and external communications, maintaining a calendar of events and supporting project work.
The successful candidate will be committed to climate action and will have proven administrative and operational delivery skills and the ability to communicate with different audiences using a range of media.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated youth worker who has excellent planning skills, is great at communicating with different groups of people and the ability to support our members to lead.
Preferably the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience of leading on successful youth work projects, have experience of 121 and lone working, experience of managing relationships at varying levels, an understanding of disability awareness and working to budgets.
The post holder will be required to manage the day-to-day jobs of the Illumin8 project predominantly working with 18-30 year olds. This will include planning and running events, organising members to get to events including transport and adaptations needed and supporting members with 121 support. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the rest of the team and other projects we run including Acceler8 and our Advocacy work.

You’ll liaise with venues, expert speakers and support our team of dedicated qualified sessional therapists, as well as providing technical support for the running of monthly online services. We’re looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering information and support services, preferably in a health or charity environment. You’ll understand the challenges for people living with illness or complex health or social needs and be keen to use your excellent organisation and time management skills to juggle a busy workload. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders. A great team player, you’ll be flexible and able to travel and work outside normal office hours, including regular overnight stays. Above all, you’ll relish the opportunity to deliver our ambition to provide support for anyone living with secondary breast cancer who needs us, by making our services more widely available and accessible.

We’re looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering health, information, or other support services, who will enjoy managing relationships with a range of different stakeholders, often remotely.
You’ll be organised and with excellent time management skills, and able to use your initiative and prioritise your workload. You will enjoy working as part of a supportive and busy team who operate across different geographical sites.
Flexibility to travel across the northwest of England and work outside normal office hours, with overnight stays is required. This will involve regular (at least monthly) travel across Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Greater Manchester (North).

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role involves significant travel across the northwest of England and occasionally further for team away days and training. It can either be home based or office based at our Sheffield office if within reasonable commuting distance to Sheffield.

About the role
The Philanthropy Coordinator will primarily deliver key administration support for UK Youth’s Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal; including developing donor communications, managing the project plan spreadsheet, maintaining accurate CRM data records, conducting prospect research and drafting funding requests. They will work closely with the Director of External Relations (lead of the Capital Appeal) and PA to the Director of External Relations in managing the Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal board, and support the wider Engagement team in core Philanthropy and Events administration.

The Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal is on track to raise £6.4 million to regenerate and build a new experiential learning centre at UK Youth’s outdoor learning centre, Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest. The Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal was launched in October 2023 by HRH The Princess Royal at an event in the New Forest. The event attracted many prospective donors with whom we are now in advanced positive discussions with on supporting the appeal, including our lead gift.
The role sits within the Engagement Team which collectively covers Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Supporter Communications, and Events. The Engagement team forms part of the successful External Relations department which is also responsible for Corporate, Trust and Foundation fundraising and the Digital, Marketing and Communications team.
You will be excellent at project management and able to write clearly and persuasively about the work of UK Youth and our outdoor learning provision.
