We are looking to recruit a HOPELINE247 Manager to enable the delivery of an outstanding suicide prevention helpline, through the effective management of HOPELINE247 advisers, alongside the promotion and development of the service.
What you will do:
Provide leadership, guidance, and effective line management to a team of suicide prevention advisers.
Ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered through effective quality assurance processes.
Manage staffing and resources effectively to ensure the efficient running of the helpline service.
Risk assess and provide advice and guidance to the team, in relation to safeguarding matters, in line with policy and procedures.
Provide ad hoc rota cover to support a range of clients via multi-channel communications, adhering to HOPELINE247 remit at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A proven track record of building and managing an effective team, supporting their development and managing their performance.
Previous experience of building, developing and managing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the community, voluntary, statutory and political settings.
Previous successful experience of working in suicide prevention or mental health.
Awareness of the issues around safeguarding and how these can affect young people and adults at risk.
Degree level or a professional qualification in Health, Nursing, Social Work, Community Work or a related discipline.
Salary: £34,224 per annum (Scale point 29), progressing by increments to £36,869.25 per annum (Scale point 32). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.
Hours: 33 hours per week
Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 07:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week. 33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. We have a very exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working on the front-line of patient support in the Manchester area.
This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in and around Manchester. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.
Based at home (laptop and mobile phone provided), you will be expected to travel independently across the Manchester area and manage your own caseload with the support of your line manager and other members of our national friendly, committed team.
We’ll provide the training, you’ll bring enthusiasm and your experience of working with chronically ill patients in a social, care or health role.

Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We’re looking for an innovative, passionate professional, whose values match our own, can think independently and is open to a coaching style of management, to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Suffolk.
Position: S11157 Stroke Association Support Coordinator – Communication Support
Location: Home-based, Suffolk however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time 35 hour per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £25,500 per annum
Contract: Our services are project-funded, we currently have funding for this service until 31 March 2025.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers whose lives are affected by aphasia, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support stroke survivors and their carers to develop appropriate communication strategies and practices, Build confidence in the use of these communication strategies in order to live life with maximum independence
· Run an effective service for stroke survivors and carers, including face to face, digital and online resources, ensuring that confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM data base
· Provide personalised information, advice and supportEnable stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes
· Work with other health and social care professionals across the stroke pathway to ensure high quality support
About You
Knowledge, skills and experience you will ideally have:
· Background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities
· Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records
· An affinity with the values of the Stroke Association
· A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload
This role requires frequent travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
