Our Individual Partnership programme provides those called to Christian ministry with an account to manage financial support and tools and training to be effective in raising and maintaining a team of supporters.

As the Support Raising Development Lead within the Individual Partnerships team, your role is to train, coach and develop best practice and thought leadership for individuals and organisations who adopt the Support Raising model.

Success in your role will be seeing the individuals and organisations we serve supported sufficiently in prayer, financial giving, and encouragement to enable them to thrive in the ministry to which God has called them, ultimately resulting in increased grants out to them from Stewardship.

The Role:

Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will be responsible for maximising income, supporter recruitment and retention through digital channels, for both individual giving and events.

Reporting into the Head of Events & Supporter Engagement and working very closely with the External Affairs team you will deliver a cohesive and impactful approach to digital fundraising and supporter journeys. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a background in digital fundraising (1-2 years’ experience) and an understanding of supporter journeys and social media advertising. Some understanding of SEO would be desirable but you would not need to be an expert in this area.

The Team:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.

The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

The Community Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community groups, schools and other organisations fundraising for Haven House Children’s Hospice. The Community Fundraising Officer will support groups, schools and organisations doing their own events and fundraising activities, work toward agreed income targets, and assist the two Managers in the team with planning and delivering key Haven House events and programmes.

Building on an existing base of warm supporters, this new role will focus on raising additional grants in the region of £10,000 - £30,000 as well as helping refresh case for support materials for fundraising colleagues across Sue Ryder.

A passionate and proactive fundraiser, with experience of cultivating and securing gifts over £10,000 and the ability to create fruitful relationships in order to collect information and collate persuasive case for support briefs. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills and a talent for establishing rapport. You will relish connecting trust donors to brilliant projects that require funding and be motivated by the opportunity to make tailored fundraising approaches to them.

This role plays an integral part in building and maintaining relationships both within Sue Ryder’s own service teams and a variety of external trust and foundation supporters, at all levels. About the role

As the Corporate Partnerships Senior Officer, you will lead on securing new six figure multi-year corporate partnerships. • Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals. 

• Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters. 

• Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable. 

• Ability to carry out thorough research to keep-up-to date with new fundraising opportunities.

• Experience of maintaining and reporting against budgets and feeding into the teams KPI’s. 

• Excellent computer skills and experience using a wide range of computer packages, including Microsoft packages.

What we are looking for

We seek an exceptional and detail-oriented communicator to plan our fundraising events and nurture our vital relationships with donors, journalists and foundations.

The ideal Events and Stewardship Manager will enjoy the intricacies of coordinating the various events that build and sustain our relationships with supporters and potential supporters

Main duties and responsibilities

Event planning (30% of work)

• Lead coordination of GRP fundraising events for various target audiences, including large panel discussions, small/medium-sized networking events
• Coordination of venue hire, panellist outreach, invitation design/distribution/follow-ups, guestlist tracking, name badge production, preparation on the day and oversight, etc
• Assistance with broader strategy for event themes, formats, locations and timeline

Donor stewardship (30% of work)

• Relationship-building with individual and corporate donors to:
• GRP’s portfolio of climate charities (portfolio funding)
• GRP’s operating costs (core funding)

• Coordination of donor thank-you notes, newsletters, webinars, feedback solicitation, etc.

• To ensure accurate recording of supporter information and reporting on activity through:

The role

Adept at supporter stewardship and journeys through a variety of channels, such as digital communities, phone, and email. You’ll have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs. As well as being highly organised, comfortable managing projects and if needed the ability to work to tight deadlines.
