Job description

We are a Christian ministry based in Buckhurst Hill, next door to the tube station. We urgently require a Senior Administrator for a 10 month full time maternity cover to coordinate the day to day running of the HR administration department.

Whilst HR expertise is preferable we are more concerned about your personality and aptitude for the varied and exciting position. The role is focused around bettering employee experiences by being the first point of contact for all people administrative queries. 

Duties will include:

  • Manage a broad range of employee queries and prioritise the most critical
  • Own queries across HR and payroll from receipt to completion, being the employee's main point of contact.
  • Raise offer letters and contracts of employment using our standard templates
    • Administer changes to employee terms and conditions and ensuring the change is appraised to Payroll
    • Work with the HRIS outsourced company on queries to  the self-service, HR and recruitment systems
    • Screen and reference check potential applicants
    • Advertise vacancies and collate CV's
  • Complete the pre-employment checking processes.
  • Manage an employee's onboarding journey, 'owning' that employee from offer to being in the operations and being their main point of contact for any HR or general queries
