We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in researching and applying to grant applications in order to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.
About the role:
As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from Trusts and Foundations in order to support SHP’s charitable activities. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.
In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful Trusts and Foundations portfolio by focusing on:
- Maximising income from grant-giving organisations to ensure sustainable growth of restricted and unrestricted fundraising.
- Working strategically to build high-impact, high-value relationships with grant funders as well as managing relationships with existing donors.
- Collaborating with teams across the organisation to create compelling fundraising proposals and produce high-quality reports and budgets.
- Proactively maintaining excellent knowledge of Trusts and Statutory fundraising practices in the sector.

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.
Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Purpose of the Job
The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the step change in growth of the Statutory, Trusts and Foundations income stream for The Felix Project. The team is expanding and is challenged to raise £2 million in income in 2024 from Trusts and Foundations. This target will continue to grow over the years.

We are looking for a Senior Trust and Foundations Officer for an incredible social welfare chartiy to manage approximately 30 Trust & Foundations, providing a high level of donor care, preparing reports, funder visits and reapplications.

The Role
Identify, research and develop relationships with Trusts and Foundations that align with strategic objectives.
Prepare applications in line with funder requirements.
Write and submit excellent funding proposals and applications for a range of services across England and Wales.
The Candidate
One-year experience working in a charity fundraising environment.
Proven record of winning and/or managing a portfolio of grants, or relevant experience/transferable skills.
Experience of budget setting for new service / grant proposals.
Expert knowledge of fundraising landscape, particularly Trusts & Foundations.

The Role
Support the Head Of Trust, Senior Trusts Officer and Executive to deliver c£1m team income target.
Provide first class stewardship to a portfolio of mid value donors, seeking to retain them as well as uplift their donations, wherever possible. Current warm pipeline sits c£150k.
Research new trust supporters, build a warm pipeline and submit well written trust proposals to funders for applications c £10-30k value. Targeted income for this role is c£100k.
Work with the case for support lead to support service information requests from fundraising teams and translate them into project briefs and compelling case for support materials.
Maintain accurate, up to date and comprehensive records of trusts on the fundraising database or CRM system (currently Raisers Edge).
The Candidate
Experience of securing gifts of over 10k from trusts.
Experience of maintaining relationships with funders and providing tailored donor care and stewardship plans.
Experience of project-based fundraising and the development of restricted and unrestricted propositions within a fundraising team.
Experience of developing pipelines of trust income and activity.
