Unit Cadet Lead Volunteer Roles
As a youth leader you will deliver development opportunities on behalf of SJA through one of our programmes for young people. This will involve supporting young people alongside other youth leaders, youth support leaders and others. You will also take on responsibility for leading your youth section under a Unit Manager's direction.
Open to new and existing volunteers. An opportunity to run a Cadet (10-18 years of age) Unit in Diss, under the direction of the Unit Manager. Effective running of the weekly meetings (term time) and supporting the youth to learn and develop valuable life skills, not just first aid.

This will involve supporting young people alongside other youth leaders, youth support leaders and others. You will also take on responsibility for leading your youth section (either Cadets or Badgers) under a Unit Manager's direction.
* The successful applicant will be required to attend the unit management team meeting and regular catch up meetings / teams calls to support settling into the role, this will be discussed more at interview if required.
* Interviews will be held with the Unit Manger, a Youth Team rep and a Youth Volunteer Rep with a competency based interview.
* Induction will be planned folllowing successful interview with the candidate for a person centred induction into role.
